BACKYARD POULTRY PROJECTS: Encourage young laying hens to lay their eggs in nest boxes by placing 1-2 ceramic eggs in each box. Also used to increase production by discouraging "pecking" and breaking of freshly laid eggs. ARTS & CRAFTS: Ceramic eggs can be decorated and used for keepsakes / gifts at Easter and Christmas. Look so identical to some of my real eggs that sometimes I have to check twice to be sure I took the right ones! Very nice weight and size.

Somewhere along the way my chickens decided to start eating their own eggs. I got these to help break them of the habit and they worked wonderfully! These are very difficult to tell apart from real eggs except they are not at all fragile. The only problem is that too many of my hens want to try and hatch them! Not the products fault, but I guess you could say an endorsement by my flock.

I use these to keep my chickens laying in their nesting boxes. I haven't had any "hide-away" nests in the 2 years I've been using these ceramic eggs. The weight, size, color, and appearance are so real, I have to mark the fake ones to tell a difference! If you have trouble with your hens laying everywhere, except their boxes, I highly recommend these!

Good solid construction. Stopped my chickens from eating the eggs and promoted using my nesting boxes. Only downfall is my dog likes to play with them, but you can't count that against a great product.
