This hoist is nice and compact. It's a little tricky to release the chain or bring the hook down.

Not sure how much weight I have put on them but it’s a lot. They get into tight spaces and are a power house tool anytime I need them.

I used this come-along as a chain hoist to lift the front-end of my lawn tractor so I could change the mower blades. In the photo, the hoist is attached to a hook mounted in the header for the door to my shed. The chain on the hoist was too short to reach all the way to the ground, but a 6-foot canvas sling was used to take up the slack. A sling was needed anyway since there was no convenient place to attach the hook of the hoist to the tractor. It all worked really well. I like the hoist because it is light weight and makes lifting the heavy tractor an easy job, especially with the help of my firefighter grandson.

This hoist is a less expensive version of the one I use at work. Ideal for those times when you need to pull something into position and do not need a larger come along. I probably use it twice as often any other I own and would buy again, especially at this price.

I tried to lift a car wheel and it got stuck in the up position. It didn't last even one day. Totally disappointed, never again.
