I use it in my 2 car garage for working on my lawn tractor. It stores out of the way with a hook on the side wall. Great back saver and time saver. It works grat and doesn't take forever to raise or lower like some of the winch/ratchet type. Sorry I didnt order this sooner. Great shop item.

Very nice for the price. Plan on using it on lawn mower. I won't have to roll around on the ground anymore to change blades.

During my first use, the lift chain bound consistently, leading to a very erratic, jerky movement. The problem continued to worsen, to the point that the hoist was unusable. After inspecting it, I found a spindle on the chain guide pully had dislodged from its mounting hole and the pully was now jammed against the chain and casing. I disassembled the casing to remount the pully. After removal, I noticed the pully had sharp edges and wasn't true. Since the chain seemed to be binding considerably on the pully, I used a grinder to remove about 1/8" diameter of material and rounded the edges. After reassembly, including tightening several nuts that were loose initially, the lift now operates much more smoothly. I spent about two hours on the modification. Overall, this tool appears to be very crudely assembled with barely passable metal. I wouldn't be surprised if it has a very short lifespan.Edit 2/8/22: I'm lowering this to one star after continuing issues that led me to be concerned for my safety during its last use - at a fraction of the rated weight range. I would absolutely NOT recommend this item.
