I don't yet know the lever-breaking-strength of the bolt-down tabs, but at first glance this is a seriously strong socket for outdoor use.

This flange looks OK and is well-made. It is made of melted steel that is poured in a mold to solidity, which is known for durability and strength. Galvanized steel is highly rust-resistant.I use it to hold a 2.5-inch medium-length post that has a solar LED lamp attached on top. It is really sturdy and stable. I cannot find any flaw with this product, so it gets a 5-star rating, and I recommend it.

I needed a surface mount base like this to supplement some posts set in a concrete curb. This base worked beautifully. I didn't want to hire someone to drill holes in concrete to set additional posts.Instalation was easy with a hammer drill and the proper drill bit.The hole for the posts is oversized but once the set bolts are tightened, the post is solid and stable.The casting us heavy and feels really solid.

I got this to be the base for a scarecrow in my garden mounted to a stump in the middle of the plot. Construction and material quality are good and solid. It looks to be cast rather than fabricated metal. It fits a very large pole size, larger than I need for my use but the included set screws are long and allow for adjustment down to a size I can use.
