The actual charcuterie board looks just as shown--quite beautiful--but I had a lot of trouble with the ice pack. I placed it just as instructed in my freezer, but it kept coming out uneven, no matter what I tried.

I have several Charcuterie boards and Snackle boxes, but what’s been missing is way to keep some of those color thing cold. I was so pleased when I saw this. Like that it has a self contained molded plastic water water bottle to fill and freezer to make a thin ice block that can sit under things that need a cooler temperature while setting out at the table. Often overlooked, it’s nice to see when a hostess is taking your well being into account and keep cold meal items cold.Use caution to not over fill the freezer bottle and insure that it freezes while lying completely flat. You don’t want the ice to expand an creat a bulge that will prevent the tray from lying flat.I like this tray a lot and I’m glad to includ it in my entertaining serveware.

First off, this looks beautiful! The faux marble top looks so real that it is surprising to pick it up and feel how lightweight it is. The base tray is very sturdy, made of a thick plastic that feels strong and robust. However, I filled up the ice pack to the fill line and froze it, and it bulged in the center, and then stuck out too far so the top won't set flat. Once thawed, the bulge disappeared. I tried dumping out a lot of the water, and it still bulged once frozen (see photos). I then tried weighing it down between heavy glass containers in the freezer, and it still bulged. Clearly, this has not undergone adequate product testing and is not ready for market. Something simple, like including a rib lengthwise down the center of the ice pack, would prevent it from bulging up. This is a pass.

The ice pack bulges when frozen, and the best way to minimize it is to make sure that the pack is laying flat AND to under-fill it a little below the filling line. When the ice pack is bulging, the platter does not sit well on the top of the board, but it does flatten out as ice melts.You can also use gel packs as other reviewers have also suggested to fill the ice tray, which I personally prefer because they don't slosh around and are easier than a water bottle pack. Having gel packs on hand also adds more versatility to the charcuterie board because you can have more chill time by swapping in the gel packs after the ice pack has melted.I like the size and look of the board and it does a good job for keeping my "toddler snacks" cool. (I am bad about remembering to eat meals, so I like to have plates and bowls of small finger foods in a few places around the house.) I love cheese but don't like to leave it out at room temp. I feel better putting cheese out for myself when I am using this board.

This charcuterie board was a hit at Thanksgiving. First and foremost, it looks great and upscale. It’s well-made and is quality. It keeps the meats cold, which is a great feature. Most other ones don’t have a chilling feature underneath it which allow their meats to get warm, this one does not. It’s a large enough size to fit a good amount of meat or berries. It’s easy to set up. It only takes a couple seconds to do (besides setting up the meats in a way that you want it to look). It’s a great value.

I love this idea, it is perfect..I hate warm cheese plates. I was really excited to get this, and immediately tried it for a party. I tried to freeze the ice pack standing up since laying flat takes up a lot of space, that did not work. It bowed and the top or plate would not lay flush with the bottom. I drained it, filled it, laid it flat and tried again. I even put ice cube trays on top for weight, and still a bow too big to work in the tray. I do not know what if anything I am doing wrong. I ended up putting gel packs in it and it worked fine, ice probably would work, just not sure if it will leak. Top is plastic material. I will use it again, but the frustration on the front side was unnecessary.

I love a charcuterie board, and I am always paranoid about leaving cold food out for too long. I was excited to try this out on a Sunday when we had friends over to watch football. After reading other reviews, I made sure to try not to overfill the ice pack and froze it lying flat. It still expanded/bowed a bit, but once it began to melt, it evened out. I also have freezer gel packs that I can use if this ice pack continues to give me issues. The top is nice and has a realistic marble look, even though it's made of melamine. It's the perfect size for my needs and stores well.
