I was surprised how nice these were for the price. Roomy enough for bigger ears of corn, there is a subtle corn design on the interior. I melt some butter in the dish so I can roll the corn in the butter and these work well because they are deep enough to avoid spills.

I bought a couple of cheap plastic dishes, just to see if they worked. Well, they worked, but they were light and flimsy. So I decided to get ceramic ones.These are great. I wish they were a little longer in case I get some extra long ears of corn. Otherwise, they're substantial and heavy enough not to slide or tip over (problems with the plastic ones).It makes corn on the cob easier to eat and less messy.

I hated spending this much on corn-on-the-cob holders, but these are such nice dishes. They worked great, no scooting around on the table. Plenty big enough for any ear of corn but shallow enough that you could still get the good stuff (butter) in the bottom with the cob holders on.And, these are nice enough that they could be used for several things...they could hold a small amount of carrots for dipping, cucumber slices, pickles, well...you can see I like them.
