Lo use en escalones de madera con poliuretano y no fue muy eficaz, probablemente En pintura funciona mejor.

Works great and the smell is not very strong. I was surprised how well it worked.

This product worked extremely well. I was impressed with the ability to put it on and the gel like substance would stay in place and not run off. Some of the paint was ready for stripping in two hours while some other stuff had to wait overnight but all came off with ease. I would recommend this product.Byron

I used to use it and ordered through Amazon.ca when it was $16.00, not $45.00! No explanation given for the insane increase. Way to expensive now, so I went to Canadian Tire and paid $16 for an even better product, SmartStrip! Works great, no smell, non-caustic, etc., can be used indoors and is biodegradable! Better result too!

Well, I WOULD love it, but I have yet to receive my order. However, I have used it in the past and it is a wonderful product -the best paint and varnish stripper that I have ever used. It has no noxious fumes, does not burn skin, is biodegradable, can remove layers and layers of old paint very quickly and cleanly and cleans up with water. I have used many varieties of paint stripper ( biodegradable and traditional varnish removers) and nothing compares with this product.

I use this to strip lots of stuff but I use primarily on old doors. Very old door with layers and layers of paint. I have tried various methods and this is what works FOR LAYERS OF PAINT: Cut up plastic shopping bags from walmart etc. Apply a relatively thick coat of Citristrip and cover with plastic bags. The purpose of the bags is to keep the citristrip wet. Use bags with the printed words up of it will strip the writing off the bag and onto your project. Work in small sections (size of the bag) and cover as you go as it will dry quickly. Do not use a sponge brush as it will dissolve. I use a chippy brush that I cut off the ends to make a little stiffer. Don't overwork the product as it reduces effectiveness. Once the whole project is covered, leave it alone for several hours. I usually put it on before I go to bed and remove first thing the next morning. Use a firm plastic paint scraper to remove the paint. I use very little elbow grease, the paint usually slides right off. Every project is different and depends on the type of paint on the project and how many layers. Sometimes one application is enough and sometimes I use two applications. I don't rinse between applications, just remove all the paint and product I can, then reapply. Once I am satisfied with amount of paint removed, I wash down the project with soapy water using a plastic scrubby, then rinse well. The water deactivates the processing of the chemicals. Usually any remnants of paint will come off during this process. There may be a couple of areas you end up sanding, but for me it cuts my sanding down by 95% or more. Now.....sometimes I am going for a chippy effect on my doors and this stuff works perfectly for this look. On very old doors with multiple coats of paint the effect after one application is a natural layering of remaining paint that you can't get with sanding or faux finish. Sometimes I just stop there and I am done. Tips: works best when it is not too humid or damp outside. It works best with plastic shopping bags - I tried trash bags and for whatever the reason they did not keep the gel wet. I tried plastic wrap and it melted. When I use on projects that have stain only, I still wrap with plastic, but only leave on about an hour. Comes right off. Although it says non-toxic I wear a mask anyway otherwise, I taste it all day. Weird, but true. Really love this stuff. It has made my life so much easier!

Due to over-hype I am not necessarily a big fan of products marketed particularly because of their "environmentally-friendly" status, because so many times such a product is environmentally-friendly at the expense of not being very effective. That said, when I had a refinishing job that needed done I read that this product works well and is also much less chemically hazardous. I tried it and--wouldn't you know--it did a great job! I now have a couple extra jugs on hand for my next projects.Pros:1. It's effective. I brushed it on the surface and a half hour later the old finish scrubbed right off.2. Doesn't dry out. One of my biggest gripes with the nasty chemicals is that they quickly evaporate, leaving a crusty layer that is difficult to remove. Not Citristrip! You can leave it working for hours and still be able to clean it right off.3. Somewhat pleasant-smelling. Doesn't have that obnoxious chemical smell that huffers enjoy so much, and doesn't leave you with a headache.4. Biodegradable. I'm no bunny-hugger by anyone's definition, but this is an added bonus for me.Cons:1. Somewhat expensive. However, because this stuff doesn't dry out and require many applications for one job, it might end up being cheaper to use than conventional strippers.2. Not water-based for cleanup. Oh well, most paint strippers aren't, so what more can I ask?

The positives: Great smelling will not hurt skin, easy to apply. Cons: Needs a paint scrapper and lots of hard work to get off. Dries white and hard in the sun. Slippery when wet.I used it to remove Benjamin More Arborcoat stain on my deck. It is a nice product to use. Easy to apply. I found after one hour it was ready to scrape off. It does stay wet unless there is sun and then it drys white quickly. A sharp putty knife did not work. It is so slippery after an hour that it need something like a paint scraper to really get into the paint. It was work getting the paint off. Often I needed to really press down hard to get the paint off. I did need to lightly sand after the paint came off. However it did work. I used a belt sander for a large portion of the deck. I don't think I would use this on the whole deck. There are quicker strippers on the market. However it is great that it is nice smelling and doesn't hurt skin. Nicer for the environment.I used a shop vac with bag to vaccum up the scrapping it worked well.
