After slipping down last step of the stair, these were absolutely important for us to have. We plastered these all over the stairs and so glad we did that. These are easy to install, just clean the step first and then stick these over. Make sure you have a way to center these out to look uniform on each step as once they go on the step, its actually difficult to take them off and when you do, the adhesive will certainly be spoiled so you would not be able to use it again. The roller is helpful to get an even placement.Definitely get these if you have slippery steps. Highly recommended.Disclosure: I ordered this item through the Amazon Vine program and I have done my best to provide an honest unbiased review. How I rate the products-5 Stars = Exceeded my expectations. We used to have carpeted stairs since the late 70s, which collected dust and dirt and was a nightmare to clean. Also gives you the nastiest rug burn when you're a little kid all excited about sliding down newly carpeted stairs, lol! When I finally renovated my house over 16 years ago, I was so happy to remove the wall-to-wall carpet and install hardwood floors since I have severe allergies. But I soon realized that slippery hardwood stairs were unsafe for both my toy-sized dogs and my sock-wearing husband, lol! After more than a couple of slips, I knew I had to get carpet treads for the stairs because that was what was available back then unless you wanted to glue on some ugly-looking sandpaper strips. So I was back to the dusty carpet, which was bad for my allergies and a nightmare to clean. I once had to call the super because I had put the stair treads in the washer, and they clogged the machine, which flooded the laundry room. Ugh, what a nightmare, indeed. When I saw these Wishtofly clear non-slip stair treads, I knew they were the solution! The only issue was that they were just slightly too long for my stairs, but it was an easy fix, I just measured how much I needed to cut off, leaving 1/4" of space on each side and using the opposite end of the tread as a template to trace so I would have the same radius on the corners I cut with a scissor. I made some coffee, put on some good music, and got it done. Applying these to the stairs was a little tricky, but I have put up many vinyl glass and wall decals, and it's the same technique. These stair treads are actually easier because the material doesn't stretch much, and the strips are a manageable width. First, make sure your stairs are extremely clean! I scrubbed mine with a little dish detergent and a non-scratch sponge, followed by wiping them down several times with a clean, wrung-out microfiber towel to remove all dirt, oily residue, and dust, then let it dry completely. I started each tread by folding down a short part of the removable backing, exposing about an inch or a bit less of the sticky surface, and then centering and positioning the tread about 1/16" from where the curve of the bullnose of the stair edge began. I wanted it close to the edge for maximum slip prevention. Once I had it positioned correctly, I stuck down the exposed end, which for me was the left. Now I had the left end stuck down, and I could hold the right end in position with my right hand while using my left hand to slowly slide the backing off from underneath, letting the tread fall into place and get stuck, using the included roller or scraper when necessary to prevent too many bubbles and then going over it to stick it down firmly. I like to use the paper backing I just removed over my hand or the scraper because it slides easily over the tread. I did get some inevitable air bubbles, though they aren't too visible. You can use the roller or scraper to try to get them out, or a trick I learned from applying vinyl decals: take a sharp, fine needle and poke a tiny hole in the center of the bubble and use your fingers or the roller/scraper to push the air out, like popping a zit, 😆 and the tiny hole will be invisible once it flattens out. Even if you find the tread is going too off course, you can lift it up and reposition it before it's firmly stuck down, just try not to do it too many times.I love the way the stairs look now, it's so nice to be able to see the natural wood! They will be so much easier to keep clean, and I am thrilled with the results. My dogs were a bit hesitant at first at the sudden change of color and texture, but they're back to flying up and down the stairs with ease. Wishtofly, yes! I highly recommend it to anyone with stairs!

I slipped in my wooden stairs and boy it hurt. These are very sticky but leave no residue. It applies nicely and seems very durable. We had a carpet version of this before, but those got nasty quick and were hard to clean. These seem easy to sweep clean.

This is how all products should be when you receive them. Easy to trim with sharp razor knife. Easy to adjust while placing, because adhesive type is perfect for the application. Comes with smoothing tools too!! Well done!

I just had LVP flooring put down throughout the house and carpet removed from the stairs. My dogs have slipped down them a few times already so to prevent injury I bought these. I’m so glad I did! I can tell the dogs love these too. It was nice to have an extra tread too because I messed up on one. HIGHLY recommend!
