For looks and ease of application--these are great. These were perfect for my flooring color. The problem is that peeling the protective sticker off the back is a pain. The on-box directions call for starting at a corner but there is no starting point. The sticker on the back of the cover says and points to the middle edges, but still no starting points. I used a knife and the protective cover did not come off evenly or easily. Once off? They stick in place perfectly. I used them for steps that just had carpet removed and vinyl flooring placed down. They fit perfectly between the decorative "lip" and the back part of the step. The cloth is a very durable weave that looks great. I am a bit worried as to how long the backing will last, but that can be overcome when the time comes.

I'm really impressed with these stair carpet's. The new ones are like twice as long-cover way more of our steps. They are also so easy to install. They come with the glue on the back already. all you have to do is peel 2 stickers and stick them dome. way better than the last ones i had to nail down and then ran the risk of stepping on the nails. they look really well made, heavy duty, and really durable. Ill update after a few weeks of use.

It was quite easy to put these mats on the stairs. I did mess up the first few by peeling the back cellophane too fast so it leaves remnant strips on the edge. I learned that the best way is to cut the cellophane across the middle, then peel each of the 4 sides slowly at the 45-degree angle.The mat has good traction and feels good on the feet. The adhesive coating on the back is very light, not too sticky on your hands that might otherwise interfere with trying to work with it. It is sticky enough though, to stay put on the stair once you set it.I ordered the yellow color. The product photo looks gray, but they actually look brownish on my stairs, which is actually not bad at all.Very happy with these mats. They provide traction to my wood floor stairs without sacrificing the look of the wood floor. I feel safer and more confident walking up and down my wood floor stairs now.

They work well for what they are intended, however I only installed them 4 days ago and two of them have already lost their adhesive and come up. The other seem to be sticking well. I followed the instructions with installation. Maybe it was just a fluke, I will update review if more have issues

We just finished renovating our basement into a family room and tearing out the carpeted stairs leading downstairs was the last thing on our list. The stairs were a mess. There were lots of staples to be pulled, cracks to be repaired, sanding and painting to be done. Overall, they cleaned up well, but we needed treads to put down, so we chose these and are so happy that we did. Each tread is bound securely. The weight is a little thin, but it also helps to prevent tripping. The adhesive backing was a bit tricky to peel off, but slicing around the border, made removal of the thin plastic much easier. If you follow the application process provided, you'll have no problems at all. Although it didn't seem sticky enough, each tread adhered securely, and they look great. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase these for our other staircase. They cut down on noise, prevent slipping, dog friendly and easy to clean.

I put these stair runners on the steps into the house, from the garage. They look quite nice on the wooden steps, and so far, they are staying stuck down well, too. Removing the disposable backing is a little awkward, as it came off in pieces, but that is a minor issue compared with the result. As it happens, there are twice as many runners as I have steps, so as these get worn and dirty, I can replace them and keep things looking good for a long time. I say again, they look really nice on a natural wood background.

These non-slip stair treads are a solid choice for my steps. They dressed up my staircase, which was previously just bare wood. They provide a bit of cushion, reduce the noise of kids running up and down the stairs and they remain firmly in place (so far). I found them easy to install, once I figured out how to remove the thin plastic backing film. Good value here for the quality and quantity. I'm pleased with these stair treads.

I really wanted to give these carpet stair pieces 5 stars because they look nice and are very practical, especially if you have dogs and also stairs that are slick. But, the installation was very time consuming since the plastic on the back continued to split when you tried to peel it off, leaving parts of the plastic still connected as well as once the film was off it stuck to everything including your hands, your clothes, you name it and getting it in trash was a pain in the butt. I finally got a very small Exacto knife and scored the film just slightly around the edges. Again, just my personal pet peeve that it takes so long to do something so simple. The extra adhesive was nice to have for corners and edges, but also added time to the installation… So, the product is very nice, the packaging was good, all pieces were there, and the price was very reasonable. I had 16 stairs I needed to, so I did a mixture of two colors and really liked the outcome.
