20 year old leather sofas that I love. We wore them out! The arms and cushions of my maroon sofas were worn and cracked and rough. I bought the kit and the repair product. It worked wonderfully. My sofas look like new. I had no idea this was even possible.

I used this product to bring life back to an old leather ottoman. I chose the maroon shade and because the ottoman was two-toned the new color came out the same way. I love it! Brought it back to a more modern color and look. I am very satisfied with this product and would use it again.

I was ready to get rid of my 5000 leather sofa because of the cracks. This has covered all the cracks, and the color is perfect. Looks like a new sofa.

I am a data scientist and research any product ad nauseum. I researched and performed an exhausting leather repair product search as my 12 person leather reclining, modular sectional cost over $10,000. I mistakenly forgot to alert my dog sitter that there were toys they were not allowed to play with on the sectional (see above pictures lol). The toys were dragged across 3 of the seats the worse being the seat pictured.After my exhaustive research I landed on Clyde’s. The first kit I ordered “light brown” was not the correct color and I realized it without opening the container of recoloring balm. I immediately returned and ordered medium brown. I followed the steps completely, did a test area on the back of my sectional to ensure the color matched.I began the process by cleaning the leather then stripping the damaged area since my sectional leather is non absorbent leather. (Stripping was the most important step and was the longest process of my repair). I had to use quite a bit of the stripper due to the quality of my sectional.After stripping and ensuring my leather was absorbent, I applied the recoloring balm. As the pictures show, my damage was not surface scratches, the dog toy cut deep into the leather hide. It took 4 coats on the worse seat. I used a damp cloth to feather the edges and waited 5 mins between coats and buffed. The 3rd picture is right after the 4th coat was applied and appears to have a slight discoloration from the rest od the sofa. However, after curing for 30 hours it cured uniformly like the rest of my sofa. I applied the leather conditioner and the damage is repaired. Do not hesitate to use this product.

So far I have done the right side of my 14 yr old couch, it looks like new. You can see the left side that hasn’t been done yet, however the right side had more wear before I used this Clyde’s as that is where the dog loved to lay. I will update later after I see how it wears.

I was not impressed with this product. I found that it didn’t work as well as I imagined it to or in reading it to be because I had ordered two different colors and the colors weren’t matchable to my shoes. I found this product to be of no use to me for that reason I sent it back and I would never buy this product again.

The Clydes leather balm kit is great, a 5 star product.Clydes customer service is non-responsive. Tried for a week to order it through the Clydes web site so I could get the discount offers. The web site refused to accept credit card and paypal payments with the accepted discount code. Tried to phone them 4 times, no response. Tried "contact us" email , no reply. Tried the text us feature and got a promise to contact me. No contact. So I gave up the discount offer and just ordered from Amazon which was totally no hassle.
