I've been using these on my metal roof to secure heat mats. They are great because you can adjust the length depending on the number of links. They are smooth, so they don't beat up the roof, and if snow and ice get on them or I step on them, they are very unlikely to puncture the roof. You can also use them for other things, key rings and related. They have survived without rusting for 3 winters and remain usable. For my application, they are ideal. As seen in the pic, they anchored to my snow breaks. At 9000 feet, they do the job.

I just use it for a key ring clip. the spring mechanism broke after 6 days on the first one which made it useless. I have bigger sizes of these that I have used and am using that have lasted for years. not sure if these smaller ones will hold up.

I just received my shipment today and I was missing 2 of the packets of 5. 10 clips short. I immediately processed the return. I'm hoping to get the replacement clips soon. Ideally without more missing pieces. If I receive the replacement pieces quickly, I'll upgrade my overall rating from 1 star.I did receive my clips after requesting replacement. The replacement set was also missing pieces so i took 50 qnd returned the remainder. Clips were ok... Some bent open after a few months of use..
