I hate the heat, I hate sweating and I hate getting wet, but these sleeves take advantage of how heat works when water evaporates. And man do these sleeves work!I don't particularly think the fabric has a big impact on how it works, but the fact that they cling tight to skin as polyester spandex probably has something to do with how moisture would take the heat away from your skin. I'm not particularly thick-armed, but the "Small/Medium" size already hugged my arms very tight.Instead of waiting for sweat, I just splash some water on to get things started. The side effect of these sleeves is that they also happen to block UV rays too, naturally, and protect me from sunburns and tanning.

I am somewhat on a fence with how thin it is. However it does its job. It stretches well. It fits fine. It protects and cools my arms.

It is a decent arm cover while running during a hot summer day. It seems it cools way faster by evaporating sweats faster. Solid 4 star product.

I don’t handle the heat very well and I am always looking for a way to help stay cool and beat the heat. They do provide some cooling relief, but I my opinion that is the smallest benefit. They do an amazing job at absorbing your sweat as well as protecting you from those strong rays of sun. I am one of those people who has to use sunscreen or else I am burnt to a crisp by the end of the day. The down side of wearing sunscreen while you are working outside is that you become a magnet for dirt and debris. So you tend to wash up throughout the day, which then minimizes how well your sunscreen will work and hold up. Finally, these sleeves help prevent those annoying and sometimes painful bug bites. With all of that being said, these cooling sleeves are a must have. They are well made, wash well, are extremely comfortable and offer a wide variety of benefits. I have used them multiple times and will definitely continue to do so.

When I ordered these arm sleeves, I thought the price was a bit high compared to comparable others I'd seen on Amazon. However, I realized that the arm sleeve fabric varies a lot from company to company. I have ordered a few different brands to compare to, and these are my favorite I've tried so far! The fabric is thin, soft and comfortable. It's also the coolest out of the brands I have tried. As far as the technology that apparently becomes activted with water...I'm not so sure the fabric has any particular "technology". You get them wet and then put them on...and they feel very strange and soggy as you're wearing them. It feels like you fell in a pool with your clothes on. With that being said, it IS cooler when you do this. It helps to cool down your entire body. If you can get past the weird soggy feeling, it's kind of nice. In Florida weather, this evaporates in about 15 minutes in the heat. (nowhere near the 2 hours advertised).I have tried this with my other arm sleeves, and they work similarly to help keep you cool. So I'm not sure these have any particular technology to help with this. But overall, I really do like the fabric they use to make these. They keep me from getting sunburned and when wet, keep me cooler.

I tried them and the do work as advertised, keeping the arms quite cool in the mid day summer sun. easy to take off, unlike other brands that tend to stick. I did find them a bit tight, actually tight, and I want to blame the fact that my arms still have it :) but more often than not, these are made like this to be able to fit many body styles.

I have many sleeves like these. I wanted to try these for the compression factor. I can say that the compression factor is ok and maybe even good enough. However, what makes me scratch my head is how these are made. First, there's a big square paper tag sewn into the seam on the inside of one. Second, there's a big giant seam running down the length of the sleeve and of course on the inside and at the very end of both ends. But wait, there's not just one seam there are two seams running down the length of each sleeve. Third, the lettering of "cold factor" is basically the same on both but when worn and facing the outside one is upside-down to any onlookers. Any material you put on your arm is going to block the sun to a great extent. So I can't even count that as a selling factor. My question is why? I have ten pairs of compression sleeves and all are seamless and less expensive. And I don't need a big paper square tag sewn into my sleeves and none of my other sleeves have that obnoxious tag either. The reason why most of the industry went tagless is because tags are annoying and they look ridiculous when they end up hanging outside the garment in full view. The reason for seamless is because seams leave an indentation in the skin that lasts a good long time after taking off the sleeve. For some reason, this indentation is not attractive for most people.I can't really speak to the moisture wicking factor because my forearms don't really sweat that much when I work out.I would like to see some improvements on these sleeves, such as seamless, lettering that is made for the left and right, and adding a few more inches to the length. I have the L/XL and while they fit well, they are just a few inches short compared to other sleeves. After wearing them for a period of activity I find the sleeve rolling down to my elbow. And while my arms are not long, they are on the large muscular side. A longer sleeve would be more comfortable and more useful.
