Haven't used but looks good. Bought to mske holes in tractor bucket to install toothbar but decided on a clamp on that didnt require holes, either way good to have handy, I use it eventually.

Easily allow drilling/expanding holes in metal or plastic. Drill a 1/4 in pilot hole. Works well with drill press or with electric drill.

These have shown to be near useless. I need to drill a 1" hole in install a soap dispenser and a glass washer attachment for my new sink because i wanted to be fancy. But that is not why we're here. We're here because these bits are garbage. I started with the second largest bit in this package because i knew I had 2 holes to drill so I wanted to try and conserve the big bit for that final push. That has proven unnecessary as once I got past the tip of the bit and into the step portion, progress has basically halted. The only success I've had is by rotating the bits constantly as they're slightly different sizes and I might get a couple ribbons of cuttings before the bit gives up again. 2 hours into this adventure and I think I'm a wee bit past1/2" and taking a break to let the drill itself cool down.

Great tools work perfectly

This is a good set at a fair price for the casual user. Used one of the bits today and it worked perfectly.

I used to drill specific sized holes in a steel pipe.. worked great... went to use it again, and the shaft broke half into first hole, it didn't grab, bite, or squeel .. just fell off drill press. Tried welding back on.. worked enough to finish 2 more 10mm holes.

For an all in one kit, it’s priced low… you get what you pay for though.

I owned and operated a developmental machine shop for 30 years, working mostly with exotic alloys, but for some reason never tried a step-drill. Finally, I had a small job at home that required putting a couple of holes in sheet metal in an awkward location and decided to give these a try. I was skeptical of the quality at this price. Fortunately, the drill size I needed to use worked beautifully. I ended up with a couple of nice clean holes.Drilling 2 holes didn't seem to affect the step-drill in any way, but I can't suggest how these bits would hold up under sustained use or with exotic alloys. As with any drill bit, some cutting oil will diminish the heat build-up at the cutting edge and extend the life of the tool.I only needed the one size of bit, so the extra were a bonus. Definitely worth the price for the job I needed to do.

Stem broke off in my impact drilling through light gauge sheet metal. Guess you get what you pay for.
