This is basically "solid state" refrigeration/air conditioning. I am rebuilding a mini refrigerator I have that had the peltier go out. It was using a 12706 like these. The 12706 uses the most power but isn't as good as the 12703s. I think the more power causes them to go out because I've had 3 12706s go out now. I'll probably replace the modules with 12703s but the heatsink assembly is a perfect fit for what I need.
