Great strings would recommend for anybody that plays in a budget.

Some of the best strings on the market for less than half of what the others want.

I'm torn on these strings... the price is great which is why I tried them. When I first put them on, about two months ago, I noticed that they felt very easy to play under my fingers. I was also pleased with the sound. It seems like that didn't really last though. Now I have to play quite a while before the strings "warm up" and then they still seem to sound flat. It is also more difficult to get decent tone and pitch. I'll probably change them again soon. (Reference -I have been playing fiddle for 4 years and typically play for 30-60 minutes most days.)

I'm a beginner so I'm not an expert on violin strings but I wanted to try these out because they are more affordable than comparable synthetic strings. I replaced Dominants, which were the set that came with the rental violin I've been playing now for six months. If these strings were not as good or better than Dominants I would not have rated them so highly. I gave them a five because they did slightly improve the sound on my violin. I'm studying Cape Breton fiddle music, not classical. I prefer synthetic strings because the steel strings are too bright for my tastes. These strings project as well as the Dominants in my opinion. I tested both sets with a microphone sitting several feet away. The Dominants weren't producing dead spots yet when I replaced them so I don't know how long they would have lasted but I'm going to see how long these Corelli Crystals last. Maybe I'll update this review later.

As a relatively new fiddler, I only have one other set of strings to compare these too. They took about 2 weeks to keep in tune, or for me to get used to their difference. The sound is crystalline; I'm thinking I might like a richer, mellower tone. however, the E string has a beautiful clean sound. Well priced. Company delivered earlier than stated.

Cheap, reliable, great tone, and they last as long as any other string that I've tried (And I've tried a lot of different strings). The other reviewers are really expecting too much from these (or any other, for that matter) strings. Most synthetic strings only hold for about a month, if that (I'm talking about tone quality). If you can get three to five months out of a set of strings without snapping or unraveling or going false, that is fantastic and beyond the average stretch of time for a set of strings to last.

Bought these strings 5 months ago. Really liked them when I put them on. Nice tone compared to the steel strings I used to have. Just wish they had lasted a little longer. Granted I play quite a bit (around 2 hrs a day) but still expected them to last at least 6 months or give me some sort of warning sign (dead tone, etc.)Instead, I shifted up to 3rd position and all the sudden the winding on the A string spontaneously started to unravel...could have been that I had loosened the strings to straighten out the bridge, but anyway, still think I should have at least had some warning of dull sound or something. My next purchase will probably be one step up from Corelli, but they did have a nice sound!
