This is a handicraft based on manifacturing of bowl, dish, plate, vase, pitcher etc or decorative objects after being fired at 950 – 1000 oC by sub glazing technique with applications of traditional figures drawings and painting on them, following shaping after praparation of the earth with clay.Clay is placed on a wheel, and either an electric motor (electric wheel) will spin the wheel or the potter can use their foot (kick wheels) to power the spinning. This is the fastest way to produce bowls, and one of the first steps toward mass-production of pottery, however, the process still incorporates the hand at every stage, making this technique fall in the handmade category.

I absolutely love this set of decorative Turkish ceramic bowls! The vibrant multicolor design is beautiful, and each bowl has its own unique charm. The set I received was nothing like the photo. Designs and colors are different. They look cheap. Also, the quality is so poor as if they were the compilation of the defect items.Black - print is not complete (looks like it was not transferred fully) and smearedYellow, Blue, Red - solid part and print part anre overlapped and the edge of print is showing beneath the solid.Teal - has a dash of red paint on the solid part.

I bought these to help with prep for cooking. We're on a Hello Fresh kick and they always want you to use multiple "small bowls" for sauces or ingredients. We didn't have any bowls smaller than your average cereal bowl, so I purchased these. They are smaller than I expected - read the measurements. They are really more to be used as pinch bowls or ramekins for sauce (do not put these in an oven!). Of the set, the orange one did not have a black border like the rest (as shown in picture). I didn't really need 6 for the kitchen, so I set that one aside and I use it to hold my rings. Very cute! Would be a great gift, or a cute eye-catching usable accessory in your kitchen. I store mine stacked on my magnetic over the stove shelf that I also bought from Amazon. For care, hand wash the bowls. They don't hold stains or smells.
