I got this to use with my new (to me) 2016 John Deere X590 tractor for snowblowing. I had a difficult time installing the chains, and only later did I figure out a better way of doing it. I had a hard time getting the chains centered and snug, so these tensioning "spiders" seemed like just the ticket. These come as two rubber rings and separate steel clips that connect them to the chains. Hint - put all 6 clips on each ring first, then it takes about 30 seconds to install on the wheel. These tensioners are nice and snug, but not so tight I had to strain to install them, nor like they were going to snap from over-tension. They do a nice job of snugging up the chains, and the don't rattle nearly as much as they did before.Summary - an easy way to tighten up chains and also will help with installing chains. Recommended.

Will install these on my compact tractor front tire chains. They are easy to install and hold the chains tighter to keep them from slipping loose.

I have a two-wheel drive four-wheeler, and I needed to put chains on to get better traction when ice fishing. These were a game changer for me. The chains were a bit loose, but it's secure and stable after putting them on. I'm super impressed and would recommend it to anyone!

These DEDC snow chain tensioners were easy to install on our ranch jeep used for plowing snow. The kit includes the hooks and rubber tensioner loop, they fit well with our tire and chain configuration. They have worked well through this year's snow season. The snow chains and tensioners are installed on the jeep from the first plow use usually in mid October until the end of April. We live in an area with low humidity and high solar loads. Recently I noticed a small amount of "splitting" in the rubber tensioner material. While not abnormal for this type of material, I don't usually see this until near the end of the season (minus one star). These DEDC snow chain tensioners are very durable especially for less severe duty use (occasional use throughout the winter). I think these are a fair value for the price point, we typically get one season per set of tensioners.

They are a described. You can link to the parts of the chains that will snug up the chains, and can add some redundancy in securing the chains. If you can't stretch the ring to fit all 6 hooks, use fewer or respace them.If you went through the process of putting on the chains - this step is relatively quick, easy and intuitive. One Star off for them not pre-attaching the hooks to the rings. Do this when you're warm and dry, so you won't be fiddling with these with frozen fingers. Then put them where you store the chains.

This is a set of two tire chain tensioners. Each tensioner has one heavy duty black elastic plastic loop and six metal chain-to-loop clips. After an easy and tool-less installation, the loop will apply tension to the tire chain that will keep the chain snug and close fitting to the tire. These are designed for 12 to 14" diameter tire rims like those on ATVs or garden tractors. The tensioners are all weather and sturdy for a long service life.Would recommend these to anyone.
