Absolutely what I was looking for now I need some for every room. I love it. Now I can turn my lights on or off from my bed! (Sounds lazy) But being elderly, it is such a convenience to just hit the button and voila, no more tripping or reaching for the light switch. Get it for you or for your elderly that needs this.

You have to press beyond the clicking sound to activate the remote controlled outlet. This is not discussed in the instructions and is frustrating to figure out

perfect for my kitchen under counter lights, no need to do any major wiring , I just ran my wires from the over the range microwave out-lite ,,,,works out better than i hoped , hopefully this is helpful to someone :)

I realized I could now plug in a free standing lamp as the entry area light is ceiling mounted with a wall switch- now I'm setting up a plug in light to use instead in the area, and will have the remote by. my bedside- I'm considering using the items made now that may allow me to adhere it to the bed frame . I read when I get in bed every night and allows frowned at having to get up to turn off the ceiling mounted light.

No light switches? No problem! Slide off the backing plates and mount them to your desired locations using two screws each. Plug the receiver into an outlet, plug your light into that, and done. The two wall remotes are powered by 12-volt 23A batteries (included) and overall, are similarly sized to a decorative style wall switch.Function wise, press on for on, off for off. There's almost nothing to this -- it's way way way easier than having to cut walls, drill holes, rewire receptacles, etc. just so a light could be switched from opposite sides of a room. 5 stars.

I have tested this item and it works great! It is going to power a Do Not Disturb sign for my office door and the remote switch is going to be right on my desktop. I just had a thought that I should also put a light inside my office on the same switch so I know when its on. I am on the phone and interrupted way too often. No one listens in but they also don't listen to see if I'm on the phone before knocking and talking and sometimes that gets a dog or two going, especially if they are in the office with me. Hopefully this will solve the problem and I would definitely get this product again if I find another use for it!
