This worked perfectly, allowing me to adapt a thermal fan clutch. The electronic one was coming on at 215 degrees and that is too hot.Saw the adapters for up to $150, which is insane money... especially when this does the job for $15.Truck now stays under 200 degrees.

Part has some weight to it. I used this for my 6.0 to 7.3 fan conversion. Worked great. Some reviews stated it wasn't threaded right. Mine was fine. It is a very fine thread and can be easily cross threaded. It did take about 3 time to get it started right, but once started it threaded on very smooth. Overall it is a well made part.

Not sure this is a defective unit or not. Looks fine visually but does not properly thread onto the new fan clutch or water pump. Pretty disappointed as this was going to be my weekend project. Now I'm waiting for the Bulletproof Diesel part, which although is a little bit more, is going to fit with no issues with a better quality. Do yourself a favor and get a better part.EDIT:Bulletproof Diesel part came in, fits like a glove. Makes me reconfirm that you get what you pay for.

If you have a 6.0L powerstroke and do a lot of towing, you MUST install the manual fan clutch. It will keep your rig very cool under heavy loads. There is no extra noise and no noticeable fuel mileage change. I tow about 16k lbs and in the SoCal summer heat I have never had over 216 degrees of engine temp. The motor, trans and oil stays significantly cooler which means a longer life. Be sure to the the blue spring fuel regulator upgrade for lower EGTs during heavy loads.

Great product, just like Bulletproof, used with Mechanical fan clutch, keeps my Ford 6.0 much cooler. ECT 188-192/EOT 192-198 (average non towing) Las Vegas / Arizona summer temps 115 outside
