About this item

  • Humbucking Electric Guitar Pickup - Black

The DiMarzio Area '58 hum-cancelling pickup gives you that great Strat tone, while contributing significantly less magnet pull of a "stock" model. Another advantage the Area '58 has is its virtually hum-free performance. DiMarzio went to great lengths to capture the magical tonal mojo of a late '50s Strat pickup, and this model definitely delivers! Sweetwater now offers this great pickup, which works particularly well in your guitar's neck and middle positions. Whether you're making chiming pop, twangy country, or sizzling blues runs, the Area '58 is the pickup for you! DiMarzio Area '58 Single-coil Electric Guitar Pickup Features: Color: Black Type: Bridge position humbucker Wiring: 4-conductor Magnet: Alnico 2 Output: 125 DC resistance: 6.12 Tone guide: Treble - 9; Mid - 3.5; Bass - 3.5 The DiMarzio Area '58 gives you classic Strat tone - and then some! DiMarzio guitar pickups give you the tone and output you need

Great sounding pickup! It makes my fender stratocaster sound so much better!

Good pickup. I put it in the middle of a G&L Nashville type tele. Like it so much I’m going to put a set of areas in my strat next.

Man, this pickup turned my MIM Strat's sound into a $2k Strat sound. I will never, ever buy an expensive guitar again knowing that I can get a standard one at a reasonable price and put these pickups in.

I have installed this on my Kramer Pacer American (20+ years old) with S-S-H config. This pickup looks like a single coil but I believe it's an HB. However, I do not care whether a pickup is SC/HB as long as they produce little noise while idle and produce good tone.Well, this pickup produces EXCELLENT tone. I never thought a pickup would make so much difference. The tone is clear and there is little room for faking lack of skills. Many experts emphasize the mid-range tone, but I like all ranges; low-mid-high. This one is loaded on the front on my Kramer, BTW.The Kramer was originally equipped with Seymour Duncan, but I did not like SD's tones. I'm happy with this and it is of course made in the USA.P.S: Make sure to try this with a tube amp.
