I did not know this part existed. The original filter was crusted over with a hard water crust that was more like a thin layer of stucco. It was impossible to clean the thing. This unit accurately replaced the old one. AWASOME!

So glad to have found this! Our dishwasher filter was beyond cleaning despite soaking and scrubbing frequently. The manufacturer wanted something close to $60 for a filter, which seems ludicrous. I found this, gave it a shot and it's perfect.
