My lg washer is 9 years old now. I replaced the drain pump 2 years ago with a aftermarket part. This time I'm using a lg pump. We'll see how long it lasts.

Our LG Tromm WM2077CW front load washing machine had OE error code and would not drain. Search on internet indicated drain pump likely needed to be replaced. This drain pump was perfect fit and washing machine working properly again. Drain pump replacement took about an hour of time while I followed helpful video instructions available on the internet.

This part is an Oem LG Part. I have an LG front loader. You can replace this part from underneath the machine. I do not have the lower drawer. Turn t he water source off and tilt machine back. I supported with small car jack stand. 3 screws and 2 wires. It will leak out residual water so have towels ready. There are videos on Youtube showing repair. Hope this helps.

This was a life saver. Spent about $50 for this and about an hour and a half of my own time to fix the washer. Better than spending $800+ tax on a new one! Drain pump is strong and my machine works better than before!

Works well, was easy to install. The only issue i had was the o-ring was slightly smaller then original and started to leak. I removed the pump, replaced the o-ring with original and reassembled. Works great now.

Others have said that they received an aftermarket part, but I can confirm that I receive a genuine LG OEM part, in an LG box. The pump was pretty straightforward to install, and going the DIY route has saved me money. Works perfectly so far, and fixed the issue with our washer.

Speedy delivery of this part and it fir and functioned perfectly and the price was excellent! Though a side warning for other Canadian Consumers considering an LG appliance: I'll never buy a LG appliance as they will not sell ANY internal components directly to consumers when a repair is needed. You MUST only use a factory approved technician to bring the part and install it for you. So even a simple part like an inexpensive dryer idler wheel that mus handy people could install themselves you can't! But, in the US they can buy parts freely.

I have a LG WM3001HWA Washer that gave an error something like "oe error (drain error)" The clothes were left in a big puddle that would not drain. I used the drain plug at the bottom left side of the machine and drained the water off. There are some good videos on youtube that will show you step by step how to get to this pump and replace it. I did see a suggestion to access the pump from the bottom, but mine has a plastic cover with a bunch of screws and due to the placement of my washing machine, it was going to be more of a hassle to get it out and lay it on its side. The hardest part was getting the big loop spring back on that holds the rubber tub in place (the rubber part that helps the door seal when it is closed). This tool is supposed to make it a lot easier: I did not have that tool, but it can be done without it.. just takes a while and a little frustration. You can use screwdrivers, a butter knife, etc. I used a screwdriver on one side of the loop to hold it and a spring puller that I had from assembling a trampoline to help guide the loop into place and finally stretch the spring until it was back in place. The rest of the process is pretty simple, just follow an online video. I would say it takes a good hour to replace it and put it back together... maybe a little longer. One suggestion I have is to take a piece of paper and tape down any screws you remove and write where they go so that you know where to put them when you put it back together. Also, I would recommend taking a picture of the pump assembly before you take it out and also note where the colored wires go so that you plug them back onto the correct terminals. There are 2 pumps in the pump assembly and they are different. This is the one that typically fails though. There was a white plastic shroud that goes around the original pump that this pump did not come with. I removed the one from the old one and put it on the new pump. I believe I also had to cut some plastic off of the shroud to make it fit.My bad pump had a bunch of water in it and it didn't smell the greatest either. I opened it up, cleaned a bunch of gunk out and reassembled it but it still did not work. One of the seals must have been bad, but they looked ok. So, I would recommend saving yourself the hassle and just replace the pump since it is reasonably priced. The reason I am giving this 4 stars is it did fix my problem, however it only lasted about 8 months. I recently purchased another one and I am back up and running again (hopefully this one will last longer).
