Prefer these to the waxy ones that melt in your pouch. Harder and harder to find in my local big-box or small town lumber yard. To each is own.

These are great for marking almost any surface. They sit inside my trunk in the Texas heat and don’t melt or soften up.

Does not show up on TPO, PVC, Fibertight, or EPDM unless you get them wet I found that if you pour a little bit of water where you are trying to make a mark then they work OK otherwise they don’t mark at all. If you’re using these on modified bitumen or asphalt shingles they will work just fine I use them on my last torch job and they did great but are horrible on membranes

needed a longer lasting crayon to mark firewood for cutting to size. These were fine, BUT the wrapper only was pink the crayon was actually orange. Still easily visible

This crayon is harder than other commmonly used colors making it difficult to use on pliable materials.

I bought this for my boss to use on her construction jobs mainly because she loves this color(yes, she has a sense of humor). But this color is one of the best since it really shows up even at a distance(looking through a theodolite). I have used it on road surfaces and on concrete foundations and I was pleased with the firm consistency of these crayons and the excellent coverage they produce. They are also strong and won't break even with hard use. I also like the fact that you can buy these by the dozen while others sell them just a few at a time. They even come in a flip-top box! These give layout work a bit of pizazz!
