Received two “gold” plates. One is shiny finish, one is more satin. The slightest touch on either leaves evidence of a smudge. They’ll look a mess after a few days of use. There were no double sided peel off strips on either plate, but a small sheet with four narrow do-it-yourself strips in a cellophane bag. Neither plate has any protective cover to be peeled off after it is put in place. My guess is these came from a bin of returned plates. Haven’t decided whether to return (couple of other sellers) or go ahead and use them. But after going back to proofread this review, not sure why I would consider keeping.

We actually returned this set and purchased a brass set of the same type.They are nice, sturdy and easily applied.We used ours to cover the slightly too large hole made for the knob and cover so they are mounted vertically vs horizontally. They are perfect.

Saved me from having to replace my door. My bore hole was all banged up from multiple lock changes and looked terrible. This covered it all up, and looks great. Works perfectly with my amazon basics door handle!
