This a great deterrent for rambunctious cats. My cats like to lay on their side and pull themselves across the floor by digging their claws into the couches. NO MORE!This material is medium weight. I feel like it may not work if you have cats that just like to tear things up. Fortunately my cats don't do that so it serves its purpose. If using on cloth furniture, I recommend vacuuming the furniture or using a lint roller prior to applying this plastic. It is easy to trim and has remained in place for two weeks thus far without any issues. The cats aren't thrilled but the couches are now safe!

The great thing about this product is that it is simple to use. One of my cats insists on scratching the side of my couch and this product stuck to the fabric of my couch with no problem. The only downside for me was how narrow the roll is, but that didn't hinder me from using it.

I got this to prevent my new cat from scratching and climbing on the couch, and I have to say, it was a piece of cake to apply! Cutting it to size was super easy, and the film is nice and thick, so I didn't have to worry about it flopping around and sticking to itself like some other scratch deterrents. I really appreciate how transparent it is; some products claim to be clear, but they end up looking a bit cloudy. This one is truly crystal clear! It's got a bit of shine when the sun hits it just right, but that doesn't bother me at all. It stuck really well to the couch, even after I repositioned it. Of course, my cat seems to think it's a personal challenge to conquer! So far, it's doing its job well. Only time will tell who will win this battle!

This works amazing. I had started with the fabric kind and it got absolutely shredded in a month. I've had this on for weeks now and it doesn't have any signs of wear. Seems to be training my cat to leave the sofa alone.

Works great! We used this on our dog gate to keep from getting claw marks - def easier to take the gate off to install rather than try to put it on while the gate was in place - too difficult as this just wants to stick to everything but where you want i - but other than this it is a great product - what a wonderful item! Takes care of protecting anything from your pet damage! Very sticky - super clear so not easily visible - great product! :)

This worked great for what it’s actually meant for—protecting furniture from pet scratches. I used it on a leather-sided sofa, and it stuck well without any issues. No peeling, no damage… just a simple fix to keep the couch from getting clawed up.Now, my wife tried putting it on the wall… which isn’t what it’s advertised for. If you’ve got flat paint, don’t do it… it pulled off some paint in spots where the dogs had already scratched... and I wouldn’t suggest you leave it on for too long. It seems fine on glossy-painted doors.For its actual intended use, though, it’s solid. Sticks well, protects furniture, and comes off clean. Five stars for doing exactly what it’s supposed to do!

We purchased it to protect some of the furniture from our foster cat. I like that it's easy to cut into shape. So far so good from the cat, but if you have a large area you need to cover, your furniture will just look like it's wrapped in plastic.
