I got this to replace the rope coming off an existing scratch post that wasn't very old. I wasn't sure what to expect from this product, since I've never replaced the scratching post material before.It was fairly easy to cut to size and wrap around the post that I removed the old material from. The adhesive seemed very sticky when I put it on. It comes with zip ties for added security, which helps - you will need them! After a few hours the material started to peel off, mainly where the material overlapped - I cut a little extra than needed to apply to the old post.Due to it peeling, I deducted a star. I am going try trimming the excess off to see if it helps and will update my review accordingly.

I ordered this item in brown to use on a brown recliner; however, the shade of brown was much lighter than my recliner, so it would be much more noticeable than a clear protector. I believe this item would, however, be great for one of the other uses specified for the product: wrapping around a scratching post to replace the worn-out material. The adhesive on the back of this fabric is very sticky and I think would stick very well to a scratching post, the fabric appears sturdy, and the enclosed zip ties and/or enclosed "sticky strips" would provide reinforcement for making sure the material remained in place. I plan to make an additional scratching post for my kittens and use this fabric on it, as I think it will be long lasting and easy to install. It appears to be a very good, well made product.

I wanted them to have something good to cling to while in the shelf. The mat adhered well to the shelf, and I don’t have any worries about it coming off. When I first opened it, I set it out on the floor to help it flatten out. One of my cats ran right over, started scratching it and rolling around. He seems to approve.

The Cat Scratch Furniture Protector is decent, but it has a couple of drawbacks. The adhesive isn’t very strong, so the protectors tend to peel off easily, especially with persistent cats. I also got less fabric than I was expecting, though that might be on me for not reading the product details carefully.While it does provide some level of protection, the weak adhesive limits its effectiveness. With a few improvements, this could be a much better product

Put it on the corners of my reclining couch this morning and it is already falling off. Don't waste your money.

This furniture protector works well and stays in place as it's really sticky. It's easy to cut to size and put on the couch. It's also great to use to replace torn up jute rope on a cat tower. Since it's self adhesive, you don't need to worry about glue, unless you want extra hold. The carpet is sturdy and seems like it will hold up to regular scratching from cats.

My cat has a little lookout spot right next to my bed and has been scratching at my headboard. I thought this would be a good solution. I think plain black would be better, but the dark grey blends well too. It’s super sticky and works well. For the size I need, I can get 4 uses out of it. It was easy to peel off to adjust, but doesn’t feel like it’ll just fall off, or that my cat will be able to peel it off. Now she can continue scratching it, or it’ll deter her. Win win for me. It came with little stickers and extra stickies and zip ties too.

I ordered this to place on the wall under my cat shelves to allow my cats to climb up easier. It appears to be good quality and the adhesive holds it securely to the wall. My cats immediately began using it and they love it. I’ve also seen them scratching at the mat, and it still holds great.The size was great, and I even have some left over after use. I’m probably wrap another scratching post with it.Highly recommended!
