Like several others in the comments, I too had a check engine light and it would start after 5-10 seconds of cranking, also smelled like gas in my garage. Now: no gas smell, no check engine light and starts right up!!

As another reviewer correctly stated, this fit my 1997 Nissan Pathfinder. It permanently eliminated the service engine soon light that had been on for years and had cost me a lot of money trying to fix with no success.

Everywhere else is so expensive so Glad dorman Sells these worked for my P1447 CEL no charcoal in my lines. Glad it came with the Purge valve aswell. Just Big Thanks

Dorman swears up and down on their website that the 911-266 is the only evap canister they sell for the 97 pathfinder. The 911-266 canister part number DOES NOT come with the new evap canister valve attached to it, it is just the canister. Typically the canister valve fails along with the canister. Dorman part number 911-480 is the EXACT same part as this canister but it also includes the valve with it and costs only $176 USD as opposed to the 911-266 canister that costs $211 USD for just the canister. As you can see in the photos the 911-480 canister is the EXACT same part as the Nissan OEM canister I removed from the vehicle. I have installed the new part on my rig and drove over 200 miles with it on and the CEL is still off, which tells me the canister and valves for it are working as they should be on a 97 pathfinder. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING THE CANISTER AND VALVE SEPARATELY!!! THE 911-480 PART NUMBER WORKS FOR THE 97 NISSAN PATHFINDERS DESPITE DORMAN SAYING IT DOESN'T!!
