03 F250 Super Duty 6.8 V10 direct replacement. Make sure you buy a new plug on the truck side if you have to replace this since it's likely not going to be good if this part is bad. My plug for the truck was melted and not able to be reused. Save time and replace both at once and get your fan speeds back!

First on my 89 E250 this is located on the side of the blower fan passenger side engine area. The screws are tough to get to, it helped to use a ratchet open end wrench (8mm) as well as 1/4 in drive socket. took about 20 minutes but 5 minutes was locating it. Dont try to remove the plug until you remove the screws so you can get the resistor closer to you so then you can pry open both sides of the lock clips.

I was told that the blower motor was in the cabin, behind the glove box. After removing everything to include the housing for the heater core, I knew I needed to re-inspect where the blower was located. I was replacing the blower motor and associated resistor in a 2012 Ford E350 Econoline van. It turns out both components are in the engine compartment behind the battery. The removal and installation is fairly easy. First I removed the battery, then removed the screws holding the blower. It would not come out without unbolting some of the A/C components from the side of the engine compartment (two bolts), then the old came out and I installed the new. Next I replaced the resistor which consisted of taking out two screws and the wiring harness. Bolted everything back together, put the battery back in, and put everything back in place behind the glove compartment. Fired up the van, and it all worked great! If all you need to replace is this resistor, you only need to remove the battery, then you can easily remove the old resistor and install this new one. My recommendation would be to replace this resistor if you are replacing the blower, and if you are not sure which one is bad replace this first.

My heater fan ran on full power only, found the troublemaker pretty quick and I'm glad this little resistor isn't expensive. The get to it in freezing conditions takes a bit of time but that's OK.

Works great, do yourself a favor and buy the plug with this item, you’ll find that in all probably the factory plug connectors are in bad shape, for the extra few dollars it’s worth replacing.

This replacement fit exactly like the stock part and let me get a controllable AC again. Before this, I had only two options- hot or no air. This is just a resistor that allows you to control the level of cool air to blow out the vents. This was a cheap part to replace and was a bit of a pain to replace because of the angle of where it sits. I recommend getting a u joint socket attachment so you can get the right angle for the bolt to come out. Took about 15 minutes and now I can deal with the humidity and scorching heat of Houston.
