These downspout leaf filters are well designed and flexible. Both 2x3 inch and 3x4 inch downspouts are easily accommodated in the same product. These units perform well in redirecting waterflow and separating leaves very effectively. Very easy to install and maintain. Appropriately priced. Good value.

If you are installing any type of rain catchment system this makes the process much easier. Does a nice job of filtering large object out of the rainwater.

Using this in my downspouts allowed me to remove the 'cage ball' I had been using where the gutter meets the downspout at roof level. That had been a great solution to preventing material from clogging the downspout but the fir & pine needles had accumulated at the ball and clogged the downspout. This required me to climb up there to clear the obstructions 1x or 2x a year. With the cage ball gone and this installed, I can conveniently clear any obstructions from ground level.

The design is functional but could be improved. To accommodate both 2-inch and 3-inch downspouts, they added two square ridges, with my 3-inch downspout drain pipe sitting between them. During heavy rain, the inner 2-inch ridge actually blocks the water flow, causing significant splashing from the drain. I ended up cutting off the inner ridge and using PVC tape to seal the gap between the filter and the downspout. They can redesign the product by either extending the outer ridge or simply making separate filters for 2-inch and 3-inch downspouts.
