Excellent quality product. I used clear outdoor sealant to connect this to my downspout drain pipe. Perfect angle for the lite slope on my front yard.

I have a small slope near my drain and the grate angle worked well to hide it into the natural slope of the small hill. I connected it to a 4" pipe. I think the pipe is Sch.40 and you will need to buy an adapter fitting to connect it to the drain pipe. I used 3034 pipe and I used a dry fit (no glue) with duct tape to secure it. Just in case I need to remove it in the future. Take the drain with you to a "big box" store or wherever your getting the other drain pipe and fittings to make sure it's going to work for you. Pics are freshly installed, but in the Spring, the grass will grow together and you should be barely able to tell that it's there! I was going to buy a pop up emitter drain but I didn't think there was going to be enough water pressure to pop it up. This was a better solution I think.

We had a run off prepared to handle surface water and down spouts. But for monitoring for the debis collected this item works into the lawn perfectly.

This review is for the Drunhan Drainage Grate Yard Drain (Green)For 18 year our sump pump has drained to a black corrugated pipe that then runs from our house to the ditch in the back of our yard. Over time, that drain pipe has been chewed up a bit on the end by mowers, and it has slowly eroded the tapered ditch embankment. It is open on that end, so lord knows what lives in that pipe... snakes, toads, who knows. Far be it for the builder/plumber to have just done a neat job in the first place.And by 'neat job', I mean installing something like this drainage gate. Funny, but when I went to pick up a connector to fit this to the corrugated pipe, the guys in the plumbing store were ogling it. One even said 'wow, that's a really nice drain grate'. That's not something I ever expected to hear, but it was reassuring to know it was a quality product. And it truly is... this thing is HEAVY, thick, and very well-built. AND, it looks much better installed, because it's no longer just some ugly pipe that's sawed off at the end. And I hope it keeps the critters out, as well!Available at an affordable price, I highly recommend this grate to improve your sump pump discharge pipe or gutter drains.

We were looking to do some yard drainage and i needed to outlet the pipe on the slope at the front of our house. Most of the options on the market wouldn't match the slope we have and an open ended pipe just didn't feel finished.This fitting was the perfect solution. Not only did it align well with the slope, but the green color blends nicely with out grass. The unit is very solidly built, and connected quickly to the drain pipe purchased elsewhere.

This is a serious drain grate. I was amazed at how heavy it was. My wife had been complaining that her greenhouse sometimes smelled like a skunk. Since a skunk could not get inside the greenhouse, I suspected it was coming up the drainpipe for the floor drain. The floor drain had a grate, but I couldn’t see any other way a skunk could get close.I put this grate on the end of the drain coming from the greenhouse floor drain. Adaptors from this grate to almost any drainpipe are readily available, but I found an old adaptor that I had on hand that (with a slight modification) connected the 4” flex drainpipe to the 4” PVC on this grate. A little bit of PVC pipe wrap tape, and it’s there permanently (unless skunks learn to take the tape off, which is no easy trick).This is a quality product, and I’m very pleased with the results.

Works perfectly. Used a 1.5in coupler to 4in adapter with this for sump drain. Easy peezy.
