I first saw Solarez on a you tube video. You paint it on your project and put it under U.V. light, I took it outside into the sun. It cures crystal clear and rock hard very quickly (we're talking less than 15 minutes). It works great as a finish over your wood projects and can be used it to make various repairs on things that need to stay clear.

In the never-ending hurt for something that works better/faster, I ignored some of the bad reviews and gave Solarez a try. After only a few projects, I have a hard time understanding what could have gone wrong for those that had problems with this product.I have not attempted the dual cure option or direct sunlight either, my application cure has been strictly via UV lights that I also bought on Amazon. As with any epoxy coating, it is nearly impossible to get perfectly smooth; therefore, if you need a perfectly smooth surface, some sanding is required. Additionally, since sanding is required, a few coats are needed to ensure one doesn't sand through the coating.Prior to Solarez, my epoxy coatings would require at least 24 hours between coatings and 48 to 72 hours before sanding. With Solarez, I can apply 3 coats and start sand within an hour.Of course, bringing the final finish to a high gloss shine still takes the same amount of effort starting with 320 grit sandpaper and working towards 2000 grit before wet sanding with micromesh. You can contact me DAW1264@yahoo.com for Amazon UV light information or more about my Solarez application information.
