The top having the tape already on it makes it easier to line up your plastic straight. My hairdryer shrunk to a tight seal.

Nice initial application with help of top strip. However, even on brand new, mineral spirit cleaned cove molding, the top strip adhesive falls off after about 3 weeks. Heat was applied to activate. All traditional tape offered great adhesion.

I had these on for the winter as my building has single pane windows and otherwise you freeze. It helped keep us warmer than other winters we spent here so that’s good! It also helped lessen a mold issue we got from moisture windows. The only complaint I have is the adhesive doesn’t exactly work very long so I recommend also taping around it as well like that good scotch tape or I’m sure whatever works.

Looks like a tamborim. Very good and super recomend for cold and wet places like UK. Winter here is super annoying due to the weather. Cold and humidity.

Can't tell my window has the plastic on it, keeps all air out and house air in. My windows are old wood 1 pane windows very leaky, but with this plastic no leaks at all. The biggest advise I can give is to make sure all around where you put the tape is freshly cleaned, if not the tape won't stick, that's with any tape thou, tape don't stick to a dirty surface.

I liked this overall it's an awesome idea but the tape could be more sticky and the material a little more durable other than that you'll be changing it twice a year most likely if not more you gotta account for the wind and possibly any other storm bearing down on them but I highly recommend other than that great and effective

I placed this over my window just before a drastic drop in temps with high winds. The tape along the top strip did not hold completely. Within an hour or two I could hear the wind coming through and part of the top strip had come undone. Since then we haven't had the winds like that first day and despite having an air leak I do notice an improvement in the temp of the room. So it is still effective just not as effective as other similar products. It is however much easier to install given the roll-on feature.

I have used the shrink type plastic to cover 2 windows and a set of French doors for years. When they finally came out with this top roll product it sure made life easier! The major problem people have with this product not sticking is most like due to improper cleaning of the woodwork. Forget those tiny alcoholic wipes and get a bottle of rubbing alcohol and some papertowel. Douse the papertowel with alcohol and use some elbow grease to really clean the woodwork, time and other cleaning products leave behind a oily film that must be removed. If it is not removed the tape will come loose, period. After cleaning I place the tape on the 3 sides but do not remove the outer layer until the plastic rollout is secure and I have opened the plastic. If it is cold I warm up the tape and wood with the hair dryer, and also make sure to firmly rub the tape so it is secure. Warming the upper tape is also a good idea, on a window that leaks cold air the wood work is not apt to be warm enough for the tape to stick. When all is ready I leave the protect to allow the tape to become firmly attached for at least 15-20 minutes. To finish up I remove the tape cover one side at a time and aline the plastic on the tape and firmly run my fingers up and down the tape, doing the bottom last. When the plastic is done this way the shrinking process is minimal since you have already aligned the sides properly and straight, so there are no bulges or puckers. I have done each window and they are nice and clear, tight and adhered properly. This is not a product to use if you are going to take shortcuts and not clean properly, or pay attention to the minimum temps you should work in.

Easy install and does what it claims. The sides do come off , off and on but in general it seems to be holding up . I have installed it on a window that faces into my balcony . Keeps the drafts away as promised . Its been a few months since i put it up and when very cold i have seen frost build up on it .

This product is well priced, well packed and is very easy to apply; It is not for everyone, see the negatives in my review. If you follow the instructions it is a piece of cake and a large window is finished within 15 minutes. Cleaning the window frame is one of the most important steps and should be done properly. I also used a spoon to really press the foil on the tape before applying the hair dryer to it.Now the positives are that you really feel a difference when it is applied, I could no longer feel the cold coming through the window. The product is well priced and the package includes everything you need to start applying it. The instructions are clear and the material feels durable. For this price you can't go wrong !Negative is that you get kind of an aquarium look, you can see that it is applied to the window. I therefore decided to take it off the French Windows in the living room. It still is applied on the smaller windows everywhere in the house and does it's job really nicely there. I wouldn't put this on the windows that you love to view.In conclusion, if you're looking for shrink film to apply to your windows this is your brand and you can't go wrong. My 2 cents is if you're not sure shrink film is for you order a package, cover a window and just keep it there for a few days. If you can live with the slight loss in clarity, this will save you a lot of money and give you a lot of comfort in both summer and winter!
