Smooth sound compare with my other tone bar. I did not try many of those but this one sound more even, quieter on the strings. Just better quality. I'm happy to hear and feel the difference. Worth the price for me. Thanks!

Great Tonebar - definitely heavy and at times difficult to hold. Descriptions and specs are accurate.

I'm like most musicians, where fit and function are a highly individual preference. However, this Dunlop steel has somewhat deeper recesses on each side which feel more comfortable to me and offer somewhat better control with my grip. This steel is also slightly smaller and therefore more maneuverable for quick vertical string changes. This is just one player's opinion. I'm most satisfied with this steel having tried and owned many others.

Works great. Tried out about four different slides for lapsteel and this one was the best for me.

I love the weight and feel of this particular tonebar. It really does make a difference. My playing seems cleaner and smoother and my left hand can do what it needs to do while making fewer adjustments. The fact that it has Ben Harper's name on it is cool, as I am a huge fan of his music, but it really does feel better than my previous slide bar. I play Weissenborn style lap slide guitars and this bar works great with these acoustic instruments. I do not know how it will work for those of you who play dobro, but In my opinion, Weissenborn players will love this bar. I hope this review has been helpful.

In between the Dunlop Lap Dawg and Long Dawg in length and weight, this chrome-plated brass tone bar is easy to grip and provides a sweet singing tone. If the Lap Dawg is a little too cramped or the Long Dawg a little too heavy this may be your perfect fit.

Very comfortable and great feel. Beginning player that is inspired by Ben Harpers music. A little pricey for a signature but did not find any other tone bar in this weight.

This tone bar worked great for my hands. Being female I have small hands and it worked much better on my lap steel. The tapered cut of this bar made it more comfortable to use and actually stopped some sound issues while playing. I would recommend this bar for any female playing lap steel or pedal steel. The tone is great. I could tell the sound difference as soon as I started playing my steel. Great product.
