Yes, the remote is included. But, the controller to actually make the winch work, is not. You have to buy separately.

The winch is plenty strong but took some modifications by me to get to work correctly. Rope ran off winch roller and had to fabricate a guard to keep the rope on roller.

line rides off spool on retrieve .had to add a fairlead to prevent it. Even with fairlead line constantly rides off spool costing valuable fishing time. Remote failed after 1 season but I do not miss it. The winch must be watched constantly to keep line on spool so even a working remote is functionally useless! I'm taking it off the boat . Its a waste of money and time. hand lining an anchor is more efficient.

Said it is made for 20 foot pontoon boat but when you reroute the wire it come up short.
