If you purchase vapor barrier plastic, this is the tape to purchase. It is extremely strong, & will secure the vapor barrier with no problem. It is a must!!!

The point of this tape is to BE extremely sticky to be able to stand up to damp conditions. And this does what it is supposed to do. But if you accidentally get it stuck to anything with hair, you are going to have an instant wax scenario on your hands. So be careful! :)

I used this product to seal tears and edges of some hybrid roofing underlay and it worked perfect. It's super strong, (stronger than the material I was sealing) and lasted until the shingles were put on. It rained and there were no leaks at all!

This really served our purpose to adhere plastic seams.

Fantastic seam tape, works great for all the vapor barriers I install. Only catch is that you have to make sure the entire piece is started or your split it.

I got this for crawl space encapsulation and needed it to seal the vapor barrier against the cinder block foundation walls. It would not stick at all to the exterior cinder block walls that were cool (50F) and slightly damp. I'll retry when the crawl space humidity is lower but it raises concern of whether this will fail in the future under cool, condensation conditions on the walls. Maybe I'll find a different adhesive product that performs better. Otherwise, it sticks well to the vapor barrier plastic and to PVC.UPDATE: After laying down the vapor barrier and running a dehumidifier for a week to drive down the humidity, the tape did stick reasonably well to the cinder blocks though not as well as to plastic.

Before I got this, I had to mess around with the vapor barrier inside car doors. It's a pain to pry it apart from the tar without it breaking and then stick it back on hoping for it to stay in position. Now that I own this tape, it's just a matter of making a slit, fix the issue and tape this over the cut. I have no idea what elk skin's like but this feels like how I'd imagine it. The material is fairly thick, slightly stretchy and sticks on almost as good as the “red tape” with the exception of maybe when used on wood. Scratching the plastic with my fingernails, it leaves a mark but there is no way you could punch through by accident. 4” makes it a breeze to use as you don’t have to overlap a gazillion strips together. Overall, the only way you could improve this product is to make it transparent instead of white.

Sticky and a bit stretchy (not quite as stretchy as electrical tape, and definitely a bit thinner). Worked great for crawlspace encapsulation.
