Loud, durable, small enough to stow but large enough to not get lost. No issues with functionality and gets quite loud as stated. The metal is clean and not sharp on any piece of it.

Great pocket size whistle. Small enough to EDC and not heavy at all.

Build quality is not great, but it is sturdy and light weight. This thing is LOUD! I tested it in my home at first and my cats freaked out, whoops! I took this to a running track near by that goes around a football field, My wife and I stood at opposite ends and I blew the whistle, She said it was still very loud even 100 yards away.

This whistle was marketed as Lifeguard, Survival, and Safety, for outdoor camping/hiking, etc.Does it really fulfill all of those promises? Well, not really. This is loud enough in life-guard situations, since in those instances where a life guard will use it, the life guard will be blowing hard, and its sound would be heard really well.I am not sure if this whistle is actually water-proof, though. For emergencies, what is most important is being loud when minimal air is used. There is a chance that in an emergency, the person using this would be weak due to injuries, and can't blow as hard. This whistle only has a soft tweet when you use minimal air.As for loudness, this is about as loud as a Fox-40 Sonik Blast, which is good, but it might need to be louder in other emergency situations.

I ordered this whistle to add some extra security to an upcoming road trip. I like that the whistle is compact, lays flat, and has a good construction. I can carry this whistle much easier than a traditional whistle. The whistle is loud, louder than similar whistles I have that only have two sound tubes. I was able to get a max loudness measurement of 107db consistently which is very loud. However I was never able to achieve the 120-130db claimed in the ad. The whistle is more than loud enough for my needs and for the $6.99USD it is selling for as of this review I consider it a good buy. I deducted two stars because the whistle is significantly less loud than claimed in the ad.

Loud, Durable, and ReliablThis whistle is no joke—seriously loud! Perfect for camping, hiking, or any emergency situation where you need to be heard. The stainless-steel build feels super sturdy, way better than cheap plastic ones. Small and lightweight, so it’s easy to clip onto a backpack or keep in a pocket.Tried it out, and the sound carries like crazy—definitely not something you want to blow indoors unless you enjoy ringing ears! Overall, a solid, well-made safety whistle that does exactly what it’s supposed to. Highly recommended

Great essential emergency whistle. Bombproof and crush resistant design. So many uses. I have attached it to my ski jacket in case I get stuck in a tree well or for back country exploration. It is ear piercing loud- not sure if I can get it to 130dB as claimed but anything above 115dB is loud enough to really attract attention.Whether or not this hits the claims of 130dB, I give it 5 stars because it is an attention grabbing high pitch and loud enough. And it is practically indestructible. I think the 304 SS will hold up to corrosion for my use. If I were to use this for salt water environments, I would probably go with the titanium whistle. Titanium will last much longer on a coastal boat and left outdoors.Good deal, I recommend.

It makes almost the same "noise" level as a 3D printed design that I have, which is loud, but since this is a "3 ways" I expected to be louder somehow.Still enough for emergencies, is small so can be put in your backpack zip hanging to have in hand or with your keys.
