These are the ubiquitous orange safety whistle - the ones you see attached to PFDs, emergency tents, etc. You can find these from myriad manufacturers - and with a surprising range in quality (surprising to me, anyway - you wouldn't think it would be tough to make these well). These are definitely at the well-made end of the spectrum - cleanly molded, no molding remnants, and they work well without modification or cleanup. At 6 for $7, they are a steal.
