After I read the manual and discovered all the idiosyncrasies of this I'm going to change my review. I feel a little better, it might actually be a four star top but considering the frustration it put me through its only three. This is a beautiful 36-in 5 burner built-in electric cooktop. The middle burner is a joke, 100 watts the same as a light bulb. It doesn't light up or heat up but when you turn it off it pretends it's hot and flashes an H even though it never lit up and is not hot. Very confusing. The touch controls can be sensitive and are not intuitive at all. All you have to do is quickly slide your finger over the lock button and it locks up on you. This is counterintuitive to the power button which you must hold down for 3 seconds before it turns on. Can't turn it on unless you hold the power button down for a specific time but it'll lock up on you if your finger touches it when you're cleaning it. I'm all for safety but not when it's not well thought out. When it locks up the readout reads LO and I'm thinking low heat? low voltage? what's the problem, why won't this thing work after I hooked it up?Because I touched the lock spot! I had to go to the circuit breaker three times to get the lock LO to go away. I think a picture of a lock would be easier to understand than to have the words LO on a stove top next to a burner control.I originally thought this was a piece of junk but it's not, It's got some design issues but it's okay it seems to cook as good as the Kenmore that it replaced. Don't be a smart act like me read the manual.
