I have a few of the endoscopes that attach to your phone, both stiff and flimsy versons, and I prefer this one all the way. The phone versions can get really annoying, your screen times out, they require sketchy apps, and the quality isn't that great on the ones I've owned. This does everything those does, but better, and without needing anything extra. The screen on this is nice and bright, with great colors and clarity. The lenses both have good picture quality, and I was able to easily bring the files over to my PC with a microSD card adapter (not included). The instructions are easy to read and are clear and concise, but the device itself is very intuitive and once you know all the key presses it's easy to remember and use. The battery life seems very good, and so far I haven't had to charge it after the initial first time and using it for a few inspections afterwards. This device comes in handy for me specifically regarding guitar repairs, but I can also see myself easily using this for auto mechanic and other projects as well. My only caveat with this device, is that it comes with an unbranded microSD card, so I plan on replacing that right away, because in my experience it will fail eventually, and I'd rather be prepared and have my data saved. This isn't a huge issue, because of how common it is in Chinese electronic devices, but just a thing to be aware of. I highly recommend this kit for all the uses it provides in many scenarios, and with all the features and accessories it includes to have everything for endoscopy all in one place.

This is the 3rd scope style that I have purchased and the best of the three. These things keep getting better every year.At first I bought the wifi one that works with my phone but that was tedious to connect and the visual quality was poor. The second was a standalone unit but it did not have photo or video capture capability so I was taking pics of the screen. When I saw this one I decided to give it a try.First impressions are that it's better image quality than the other two that I had bought. It's also intuitive and easy to use, take photos and manipulate the light etc. It's a simple tool but really handy and indispensable for certain tasks. It's not an expensive tip-steered scope, so it can be a little difficult to get the camera oriented *exactly* where you want it but you quickly figure out how to twist and rotate the cable to make it work.It also comes with a nice padded case which is also the first one that's had that (and all three that I have were similar price points to this just bought about 1 yr apart!)Biggest selling points for me are that it has a decent screen, good video quality AND the ability to save photos and videos.Hope this helps

I received this product through Vine. It comes in a zippered case, which includes a USB-C cable for charging—but no charger, so you'll need to provide your own. The manual specifies the safe charging requirements. The package includes the attachments shown in the product images: a magnetic tip, a hook, an additional mirror, and a simple ring. These attach by screwing into very fine-cut threads. One improvement I’d suggest is for the instructions to explicitly mention attaching the ring to protect the threads on the camera end, as they could easily get damaged when maneuvering the scope into tight or curved spaces. The manual is fairly clear and doesn’t suffer from awkward translations.I got this as my first endoscope to inspect the air inlet of my tankless water heater. The inlet is a PVC pipe, and while the scope was stiff enough to withstand the pushing and rotating required to navigate past the fittings, it lacks a remote-controlled head. Because of this, I couldn’t guide it through the entire length of the inlet in one pass. However, I was able to inspect enough of the pipe by inserting the scope from both the outside and through the heater. After having used this by myself without anyone to assist me, I do see the utility of the scopes with a handle, but this one has a more compact form factor. For budget-conscious buyers, there are $20 models available that use your phone as a monitor. However, this unit does have a good built-in display and decent image quality. The side camera's image quality seems to be a little worse than the forward facing camera. Also be patient, as the white balance takes a moment to adjust.

I had purchased an endoscope camera that attaches to and iPhone and though the image was fine it was awkward and would come on plugged pretty easily. This is slightly more expensive (there's a 30% coupon right now that really brings the price even closer) but with this you get a screen with all the controls easy to find in awkward places, a 32 GB card (I will never need this much storage but...), a hook, a magnet, and a mirrored attachment that lets you look around a corner that the endoscope can't navigate.I haven't HAD to use it yet but I tested looking around in small areas and it's much easier to use than the plug into your phone version. The real buttons are great for when you're manipulating the camera and don't want to have to look at the screen to find the buttons. The rechargeable battery is also a must have because when you want to use a device like this you're already in a mood so looking for batteries is not going to be fun I figure. The only improvement is in the case really. It's fine but doesn't offer any padding and there's no pocket for the magnet, hook and mirror attachment. They are very small and come in a little container but I can see this slipping out and getting lost easily.Overall though exactly what I want for those times I don't want to need it.
