CHECK FITTING!!! Title description is NOT accurate.Purchased two of these for my N16, however did not notice that these are around 1mm shorter than the OEM ones. This is a problem because it creates an air pocket (specifically on the intake side) causing surging idle, hesitant/delayed acceleration, and throwing a P00BD code, which made me think my mass airflow sensor was bad. Put the right part number in and the problem went away.

I was nervous which brand would work. It has more screen filters on the stem part of it which worried me but actually is better I guess, so I heard from a YouTube review. So far no props went in just fine been a few weeks have to check oil too

I bought 2 of these for my 2010 R56 Base. Replaced the front and back in 30 minutes. The worst part was putting it all back together, getting the hoses to snap back in place correctly. Cleared codes P0011, P0012, P0015, P0016 and P0366. They’ve only been in 48 hours, but running a lot better and check engine light is off! I’ll update if anything changes.

They need to be modified to properly fit the Mini N18 engine. The hold down tab is just a little too long to get the screw hole lined up. Had to use my grinder to grind off just a little to get them to fit. Otherwise they seem to be working fine.

Works.. kind of. I was getting multiple DTC codes prior to install, it resolved those codes. So it gets three stars for that. Loses two stars because it cause an erratic idle when cold. The idle surges around between 700-1100 cold. Once the car warms up and has been restarted, it works fine. I’ve verified with another VANOS solenoid, the OEM one works flawlessly regardless of engine temp. 2011 MCS, R56 with N18 engine.

Worked like a charm on my 2008 Mini Cooper R56 N12 engine. The N12 (non-turbo) engine REQUIRES 2 (1 on intake, 1 on exhaust), so replace them both. Otherwise you might not clear the codes. Great quality.

Very Happy! My MINI ('08 R56 N12 Auto) uses two of these. The same is in the N14, but the Turbo motor only uses one of them.My original VANOS were partly screened; the replacement part number was superseded to 'fully screened' solenoids and the part# changed to 11368610388. I ordered two from an OEM supplier but they only had one on hand. I then ordered this one at half the OE supplier's price. I was a little skeptical but in truth, it is a 'better-looking' part than I got from the OE guy. It is fully-screened and has some German writing on it. (The OE one had no markings at all.) They are both installed and the car runs well again .No complaints. If the unit should happen to fail prematurely, I WILL come here to edit!
