It turns out that this item is NOT universal. It may fit Price-Pfister and SOME other brands, but it did not fit my Moen vanity faucets. The rod is too thick and too long, and the fitting is too small. So before you order, take out the old one and check the measurements. (A bit hard to do in my case since the old rod had disintegrated with rust.)That said, the part looks to be of reasonable quality so if it fits your needs, my guess is that it will hold up for a while.UPDATE: I didn't feel like going through the hassles of returning it and then searching the aisles of local hardware stores for one that would fit, so I simply cut about a 1/2" off this rod and used the nut from the original. Seems to be working just fine with those mods.

It works, but the ball was a bit big. It didn't fit perfectly, but since the drain is a low pressure conduit, we didn't experience any leaks. It works for i's intended purpose.

The best feature of this pop up stopper lever is the steel rod. The only style I could find at the big box had a plastic stem that went into the stopper and it wasn't strong enough to accomplish full travel lift on the stopper. This one is strong and worked perfectly. Threads were a good fit too. The 2-pack was a bonus for an extra on-hand.

So apparently, these things might have a standard thread size, but thread numbers may vary. When I tightened mine as far as it would go, it still wasnt tight enough to hold the ball in place. Translation......without a tight ball, drain water can and will escape. I should have paid closer attention to that salient oversight.ALSO, GASKETS AND WASHERS ARE NOT INCLUDED. THAT'S A DEAL BREAKER.

This was a good buy and seemed to be manufactured well, but the ball is too big for my drain, so I’ll be returning it.
