Dual Coil Diesel Glow Plug

Dual coil glow plugs are a leap forward in glow plug technology. When designing a single coil glow plug, an engineer can choose to optimize for maximum glow plug life, or best starting - but either characteristic is optimized at the expense of the other. Dual coil glow plugs allow for both ends of the spectrum in one plug

All six glow plugs purchased were faulty, mechanic tested each one after installation as no voltage t the plugs. Each one carried high OHM's, purchased NGK and no issues, pay a little more and get the quality. Lesson learnt

I installed 4 of the 6 GP's because I have two old broken glowplugs in my engine. My sprinter immediately threw codes on all four of the replaced cylinders. I ohm tested the other two GP's that I didn't install and they both gave me 6.8 ohms. Way too high. I tested one using cables and it burned out within seconds. I assume the four installed burned out immediately as well. Unfortunately, I will have to return them and use a different brand.
