I've received this product with malfunction. One of the pick-ups wasn't working at all (bridge pick-up).Now I have to spend more money in repairing it with a local guitar luthier.I've read the reviews for this product and I wasn't the first to receive this same product without working well.I know I can't claim or request any at this point because I've received it in November-2024, but Fender office shouldn't offer a product with failures.

The bridge pickup uses an un-threaded plastic/nylon(?) frame that appears to have been designed to have self-tapping screws for mounting. That might be okay if you don't expect to change/adjust the pickup height much, but if you're like me and do a lot of experimenting, the only other choices you have are to tap the holes for the bolts you use or to get creative. I drilled out the holes then super glued nylon nuts to the underside. Seems to be working fine - and as advertised, there's no noise so I don't have to go to the effort to shield the cavities.

Sonido clásico vintage, pero no excesivamente metálico.Sin un zumbido de fondo, eso sí, con un buen Apantallado de la guitarra.

I recently got the awesome US Professional Telecaster with a rosewood neck in great color.I loved the guitar right away, but it's sound left something to be desired for my tastes. It was WAY TOO BRIGHT. Even if you turn down the Tone, it is still bright and now loses the Tele charm too. I think the rosewood neck may contribute to the brightness as I've had other teles that have a more balanced sound with a twangy bridge pickup and a thick rich sounding neck one.So I started doing some research of different makes to upgrade the sound. I had another Tele that was a MIM Deluxe thinline with standard Fender Vintage Noiseless pups that I loved for all types of music. So, I decided to give it a shot in this guy and wow, what a difference, for the better! The sound is way more balanced now. Noiseless of course and can do awesome shredding on a bridge pup, great rhythm sound in the middle position, and great leads and rhythm in the neck position. It is way richer now and great low end, no ear piercing trebble even with Tone all the way up. I can now do anything from Metal to Blues and Jazz and it works perfectly for everything. I would highly receommend this upgrade. It did not disappoint and made the guitar a real gem now, vs a one trick pony IMHO.

Like a few other reviewers, I received a dud pickup. I wish I'd checked it was working before soldering it all in but I didn't so wasted a good chunk of my morning to find out.The neck pickup was working fine but the bridge pickup was completely dead. I checked it with a multimeter to be sure but there was no reading at all. I'm informed that the resistance of the neck and bridge pickups should be 12.0 and 8.6 respectively. It seems odd that a 'reliable' brand like Fender should be sending these out with so many faults.

First rate service and delivery, 5 stars, but the fender product is an aftermarket b stock. The metal neck pickup cover was badly pressed and the chrome was slightly tarnished, unfortunately you can't see this until the guitar is in bits and the protective plastic is removed ready for installing. On a positive note they work well and sound great.

These sound amazing. There is one problem though, which it has a high defect rate. My first set were duds. The second set I got worked perfectly, and make no mistake, they sound fantastic. I swapped out my tele pickups, and I am extremely pleased. They are warm and articulate without the 60 cycle hum. While they are technically humbuckers, they preserve the tele's signature sound, especially in the neck pickup. So if I have any advice it is to install them once you get them, so it is in the return window.

First set arrived (vintage version) with a dead bridge pickup- that is a first for me,After installing the replacement set and running it through an AC15, Bassman and a Bassbreaker I can say the for sure the bridge pickup is the real deal. Sounds every bit as telecaster as the standard american tele pickup it replaced. The lack of noise makes it perfect for my needs in the studio. The neck pickup is what gives it a one-star ding. The extra strong bas response is probably more suited for jazz than anything else. The single notes sound round and full but the low end on chords is a tad overwhelming. The middle position for the two pickups is definitely useful, but trying to set up an amp for a tone for one pickup means when switching between them one of them is going to be either too bright or too bass heavy. Since I don't leave the studio much it's not really an issue, but live it could be problematic. The neck screws suck because they're too long for my 97 american tele so a little clipping is involved, or you can route the pickup cavity a bit.

Do NOT try to wire these with a four way switch!!! I spent at least 30 maddening hours trying to do just that. When Monday came and I called a Stewmac engineer he told me "Can't be done." I never, nor since, have read that anywhere! Now, after wiring them 3 way, they are beautiful. The bridge tested out at 7.70k whatchamagiggers and the neck at 11.94k ohms and the bridge is pretty hot. I also installed a treble bleed cap/resistor from Stewmac ($6 or so) and the sound is sweet and really quiet at all volumes. For the first time in months, I turned off my Tube Screamer because it just didn't sound right with these guys. Gotta love that twang, especially with the compression all the way up. A fantastic upgrade.

I really like the sound of these pickups. They are noiseless, as expected. I shielded and grounded the control cavity and the pickup and wire routing cavities of my guitar, too, to ensure there would be minimal noise. I can turn the amp up very loud and there is no pickup noise to speak of. The neck pickup possesses some Stratocaster-like qualities to it. Some people don't like this, but I don't find it to be a detriment. I would definitely order these for the next guitar construction project. I did have to file the bridge's pickup opening a bit, to get the pickup to fit. The bridge pickup's copper windings extend right to the edge of the bobbin. The insulating tape over the winding made it impossible to fit the pickup through the hole, until I filed the opening a bit along the long sides of the opening. My bridge is a GFS unit. Maybe the Fender bridges have enough margin to fit this pickup without filing. Not a problem, just something to watch out for. Don't force the pickup into a bridge opening that is too small. If you nick the insulation on the windings and short them while mounting the bridge pickup, the pickup won't produce the beautiful music that you intend it to make.
