Sometimes, getting a "name brand" accessory for a "name brand" item is important. If it's an accessory that's integral to the overall use of the item, or if it's made specifically for that item, it may be a better choice than a non-name-brand alternative. This accessory is a lid. It's for use when the item -- a fire pit, in this case -- is not in use. Its primary purpose is to keep rain out of the fire pit when the fire pit is not in use. This lid fills the need perfectly. It has a good fit, and the handle is, well, handy! At approximately half of the price of the name brand, this one is just right.

I was actually surprised at the quality, very well done. For some reason I was expecting cheap flimsy metal but it is high quality.

Fits the Solo Stove brand Yukon perfectly and love that it has a handle. Less expensive than Solo Stove. Highly recommend.

This lid looks great and looks like the same quality as my Solo Stove. Super simple assembly. Now I can keep the occasional rain and debris out of my fire pit while we're camping.

My stove is not the Solo Ranger but it has similar dimensions. The outside diameter of my stove is 14 7/8”. The inside diameter of this lid is 15 1/8”, so it fits my stove perfectly with a little wiggle room left over. This lid appears to be, and feels like, high-quality stainless steel. It does not feel cheap. The only “assembly” required is to use two screws to attach the handle to the lid. The handle adds 3 3/8” to the height, so if you use a cover on your stove you’ll want to consider whether your cover will still give you the coverage you want. The lid from the “name brand” stove is more expensive than this one and does not have a handle, so I consider this lid a value. As I said in the title of this review, it’s possible this lid will outlast the stove.
