gold cart heaters are unbalanced are the larger cannisters and these are perfect for that.

I have six of the 1lb flame king bottles and want some smaller bottles for smaller uses. These are a great idea but like others have mentioned there is a quality issue. One of my tanks sits perfectly on a table and is stable, the other rocks around on a table. The bottom of the tank itself extends past the welded on base so it rocks around. Going to order another set, keep the good tank from that set and return the two bad tanks.

I have 5 of the one pound tanks and like them a lot. But I wanted these shorter ones for my micro burners and jet boil units. Less likely to tip over. Saw reviews about some tanks rocking because of the rounded bottom . One of mine rocked a little. A light tap with my soft face hammer on the bottom solved the issue.

Flame King has something great here... I would like to take credit for it as I sent them a message on fleabay about a year ago about this idea, I am just glad they brought it out. here's what you need to check: put the tank on a flat surface, If it wobbles, chances are that the ring that they used at the bottom of the tank as the stabilizer is too big and as "David" had mentioned, lets the bottom of the tank "poke out"flame king however has very good return policy so in my case, I had one good one and one wobbly one so I ordered a replacement and I put both the defective wobbly ones in the return bag.problem solved.I think the best thing about the flame King bottles is that they don't have any proprietary connection, they use a standard 1 lb connector and while they have their own filling apparatus, you can use any available filling apparatus on the market as long as it has a 90° turn and a valve.This is a wonderful product, my idea would have been going with something with a wider base, almost like a pancake compressor, so that way the boil rate isn't affected too much but this will work just fine for now. thanks flame King for saving the environment by making this product accessible for a reasonable price and I hope that this catches on more as we have too many of these disposable 1 lb cylinders in the landfills. The same people who are supposed to be loving Earth are killing it with disposable propane bottles.

Rather than using or buying butane cannisters, I opted to get these and they're good. It may be a bit heavier but it's better for an overnight backpacking.

It does sit on the round part of the tank at the bottom. It’s by 1/16 or so, just enough for it to rock. Ended up 3d printing a base for it so solve for the rocking. Great size tank

These are the best. Easy and safe refillable propane bottles. This half pound short bottle is perfect for my mantle lamps.You do not need the Flame King brand full valve, they are often sold out, and any of the other knockoffs work fine. But there is no substitute for these.Invest in some solid brass caps, the included black plastic cap/clip thing is a bit flimsy and you really want to protect the threads and seals on this bottle.
