Flashpoint introduces another leap in the evolution of the outstanding R2 Family: A Round Modular Flashhead that will produce a natural and pleasing diffused circular light. Not the horizontal bar tube pattern, typical to speedlight Fresnel heads, hiding out in a round casing. Not a duplication of the eVOLV barebulb modular head fitted in a standard reflector. But an entirely fresh presentation of a genuinely round head with a bare bulb centered neatly, positioned vertically within a bowl reflector that maximizes the output and delivers a clean, sparkling illumination. The tube in behind a frosted glass plate with a magnetic ring on the perimeter allowing gels, grids, barndoors, diffusers, snoots and bounce scoops to mount directly and quickly. The large selection of snap-on magnetic modifiers can be stacked to gain more control and effects. The output is exceptionally even with an approximate guide number of 130 (ft). One of the advantages of the Flashpoint Evolve 200 Pro (aka Godox AD200 Pro) strobe is the option of using various flash heads: rectangular fresnel, bare bulb, LED, and diffused round. This kit blends the round head with a set of attachments, probably the most useful of which are a 4-way barn door and a honeycomb grid. The accessories attach with built-in magnets, and you can stack them in front of each other to obtain various lighting effects.

It took a bit of pushing to get the round head to attach to the eVOLV 200 Pro. Once I got it on, it lined up fine and was secure. The magnets are really cool.The accessories snap. on easily. Round flash head with the bubble top works well in a softbox.
