I received this item as part of the Amazon Vine program. The converter is fine. It is easy to install and use. The included mount is a bit weird to use, so I didn't bother with it; I just used a tiny amount of 3m double-sided foam tape.Overall, 5/5.

I've been using this SSD mod for about 30+ hours of game time and so far theres no issue. Using a 2TB drive makes a huge difference as you can just install whatever you want and it will be there. A few tips on doing this, since it does not come with any instructions and amazon ships it in the flimsiest of packaging.Tip 1, Google "Asus Rog Ally SSD upgrade" and use the official ASUS guide. Follow the steps as it says, except when you get to the battery you can do what i did and remove the cord that goes directly into the battery, which is image #2. Image 3 is showing you how it gets inserted and how it just barely fits. Image 4 shows you how to keep the longer SSD in place, but if you do what i did in the image 4, it doesnt close properly. Instead, the long black PCB should be holding down your replacement SSD where the screw hole in it goes. This way its more flush and how its currently set right now for me, but i didnt get a picture of it.Tip 2, make sure to plug back in the battery cable after your doneTip 3, the Rog Ally will not turn on if you push the power button. Instead, you need to connect it to a power source and then press power to turn it on. Once you do this, then the power button works normally.Tip 4, after the new SSD was installed, i could not get the ROG Ally to boot into BIOS by holding volume down and pressing power. Instead, what i found worked for me, was to turn on the Ally and then keep pressing volume down as fast as i can, until the bios screen loaded. It took about 3 minutes before bios showed after changing the SSD.Tip 5, while using the Asus cloud recovery, to reinstall windows and install all the custom rog ally drivers, the cloud recovery program will frequently say "Checking" and that will stay on the screen for 10+ minutes at a time. Its not frozen, just leave it alone.
