Defective magazine right out of the box.The magazine holds two CO2 cartridges. Per the instructions, insert and seat the left cartridge first, then insert and seat the right cartridge. When I seated the left cartridge for the first time, all its CO2 dumped out through the right cartridge seal. There aren't any end user adjustments, so this magazine is dead.I sent a message to Crosman customer service on 12/29/22. I’ll cut them some slack since this is a holiday week. If I don’t hear from them in a reasonable amount of time, the rifle will be returned. The rifle looks great. It’s quite substantial, weighing about the same as the rifle it’s based on. Wish I could report on its operation, but I can’t without a working magazine.UpdateKudos to the manufacturer for responding first thing on the next business day. They sent me a replacement magazine after I sent a video showing the problem. The magazine cover is difficult to remove without inserting a tool in the bottom slot. Slightly bending the inner tang makes it a little easier. The printed instructions are too small to read unless you have a magnifier. Search online for a PDF. There is a major oversight in the instructions: there is no mention of to Bolt Release Button. This could be a point of confusion for users new to this type of platform.

Where to start? It was shipped great, no issues. I got it for $191 instead of the $299. Price changes randomly and the gun came with scope so wait for the price to drop $100. The price changes from one day to another. A bit intimidating when you first take it out of box, so realistic. Does not feel cheap at all. Feels heavy/solid. Scope is decent and once you sight the scope it's accurate at 25 feet easily, I am shooting at my measured 30 feet and I hit the red dot or off by 1/2 centimeter for real. Can pick off a quarter if i were to try. I read other great reviews that were honest saying it wasn't accurate in shooting. My shots were accurate as mentioned and probably even better if I used a bipod. I used Crosman copper beads which are really cheap for 6000 bbs for just over $7....around 50% off. Going to try the Hornadys but so far the Crosmans are good. It come with a 25 bb clip and loader which is ok but I would recommend to getting the 300 bb extra clip by Crosman, easy to reload, its well worth it (shown in pic). The gun itself has a safety switch, can set to single shot or fully automatic. Fully automatic is a blast as is single shot. No more cocking the gun to load. Just point and shoot. No CO2 leaks noted. Get the pellgun oil and is best to watch youtube on how to apply it....real easy to do and essential. I'm using Crosman CO2 cartridges which were also on sale 30% of a case of 40. My son loves this gun and likes the feel. It's kinda like an introductory to a real AR15. I shoot paper targets and cans. Let me tell you, it rips through cans like it was nothing. Absolute beast of a gun. Not too loud when shooting single shots, more noticeable whe going burst or fully automatic. I shoot at a land slope so no ricochet of any sort. The Crosmans bb's flatten when hitting a hard object which is what you want so no ricochet because the absorb the hit when they flatten. I just bought a Savior soft carry case for it which can carry all the gear. Highly recommend this sweet gun as a trainer, you will have a blast, can even have shooting competition with others. I am considering getting a higher end bipod given that I will probably by a real AR15 in the near future. Buy this, you won't regret it.

Right now cheap .22 lr runs 4 to 6 cents a round, requires appropriate range and backstop for shooting. This is less than 1 cent per shot. I'm comparing this to the real thing for those interested in at home training:-Upper and lower receiver and rail are plastic, but I havent perceived this to be detrimental.-sights are super cheap (I put on a super cheap red dot and dont plan on using the plastic irons)-weight is decent, though a little light toward the muzzle. There is obviously weight added to the body and the magazine is weighted.-there really is a little recoil. I can see my red dot point of aim twitch when I shoot. Makes for much better realism.-the trigger is way too heavy. Other reviews have tested it around 9 lbs. I wondered what that would feel like. It feels seriously, distractingly, slow down your rate of fire heavy. It's not like a heavy double action trigger. More like a normal mil spec trigger during take up, but that takes twice as much effort to break the shot. I'm going to try to get the (housed) trigger mechanism out to see if I can modify this. Not a deal breaker though.-the side picatinny rails on the fore end are removable. I was happy to discover this, as it helps slim down the grip. Probably not intended as a feature, but I took advantage of it. It looks like you do need to out the rearmost screws back in to resecure the fore end to the upper receiver.-I didnt think I would use full auto much, and maybe I won't in the long run, but it's way more fun than I thought it would be. Because of the reciprocating bolt it feels quite substantial. Significant giggle factor.-the charging handle feels and latches like a real one. It is lighter and has less travel than on an AR 15, however. I think it's actually aluminum.-adjustable stock locks up decently.-Safety/fire selector is lighter (easier to move) than normal, and feels like it's in a slightly odd spot. I could be off, but sweeping it doesnt feel quite right. Not a big deal.-bolt locks back on empty, stays locked back when you remove the magazine, bolt release works like normal to drop the bolt when you reinsert a magazine.Overall super pleased with this purchase. This is a steal for a gas blowback air rifle. I'm really glad I went with this over a comparably priced electric airsoft rifle. I got through 4 or 5 magazines on two CO2 cartridges. In bulk they are less than .50 a piece, so this is very cheap to shoot. I will come back and update if I have any significant disappointments down the road.
