Origin

Huangjin Gui, this green dragon tea oolong is one of the four famous Anxi Oolong along with Ti Kuan Yin. The name Huang Jin Gui means "Golden Osmanthus", dried tea shows a curled yellowish-green color, one bud one leaf or one bud two leaves with the stem.

How to brew Ti Kuan Yin oolong loose tea?

Warm up the teapot with boiling water, put about 1-2 Tsp tie guan yin loose tea leaves, pour a small amount of boiling water into the tea and immediately pour out. This helps to damp tea leaves, wash and help them to start steeping.

After that pour 8 fl. oz of boiling water which is about 85-95Β°C (185-205Β°F) and cover the teapot for 3-5 minutes, and then enjoy.

Excellent pal or with a light floral after taste. The leaves are in tightly packed balls so you don’t need to use as much as regular loose leaf. Excellent tea!!!!

This is a good tasting Oolong tea--but I am fairly certain that this is a tea from Taiwan and not mainland China...it tastes nothing like Ti Guanyin and everything like a green Formosa Oolong.
