NOT metal. I do t know what it is but it is spray painted to look like metal. This is the shoddiest thing I have ever purchased. I should have read the reviews. It is not a flat surface!!!

This thing looks like someone made it for thier middle school play. It had a nicely spinning bearing, but it is made of the worst material, badly spray painted warped plastic top painted to look like aluminum. rough and sharp mold edges from poor casting cleanup. Seriously, we thought it was a joke. We may keep it just as a joke, but will probably return it. It's so bad its funny.

Product description says it is made of metal. IT’S NOT. It’s made of spray painted injection molded plastic. Crooked wheel. I HATE the advertising dishonesty. It’s poorly made. I’m sending it back.

I wish I had known how wobbly and lightweight this was. I understand why good banding wheels are heavy... so they spin solidly and don't wobble about. This one is painted to look like metal on the top which it isn't.

I was shocked. The box was way too light for what I expected. It was interesting how they were able to paint plastic to make this look like Aluminum, but it clearly is all plastic and a scratch revealed the soft plastic below. Really low quality. Surprised.
